At recent events, 247Sports national analysts Barton Simmons and Keith Niebuhr saw an abundance of talent at the New Jersey Nike Football Training Camp and VTO Sports Prep 100 in Richmond, Va.
Minkah Fitzpatrick already has a handful of offers.
Here are some of the 2015s and 2016s that caught their eyes at those events.
Austin Clark, OL, Lexington (Va.) Rockbridge County (Richmond VTO)
*A 2015 prospect, Clark claims an early Virginia offer and the Cavaliers may be difficult to beat. Physically, he possesses a great frame. He's 6-feet-5, 290 pounds, is lean, and has a pretty long wingspan. Clark is technically sound, and bends reasonably well, but needs to improve his quickness off the ball and kick step a little, which would allow him to get a more effective punch into the defender.
Clark is listed as a tackle, but possibly could even play guard in college.
Brennon Dingle, WR, Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy (New Jersey NFTC)
*A 2015 receiver, Dingle doesn’t have much film of him on a varsity level but he may be a guy that emerges this fall as a junior. As an undersized wide receiver, he’s a burner. In one-on-ones he had as much success as anybody beating defenders vertically and making big plays.
Though Dingle has to do it in pads, his performance at the New Jersey Nike Camp indicates that he’s fully capable.
Anthony Dubose, RB, Newburgh (N.Y.) Newburgh Free Academy (New Jersey NFTC)
2015 OL Austin Clark has a Virginia offer.
*A class of 2015 prospect, Dubose is a big, raw and athletic running back. Already with an offer from Syracuse, he was one of the standouts at the running back position on the hoof, with a nice frame, long arms and good strength throughout.
He looks a little bit uncomfortable in certain position drills but as far as athletic upside, he’s got it in a big way. Already the sophomore holds an offer from Syracuse.
Minkah Fitzpatrick, CB, Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peters Prep (New Jersey NFTC)
*A big, fluid cornerback, Fitzpatrick has the look of being one of the top defensive backs in the country for 2015. He could grow into a safety, but right now is a big-bodied corner.
Fitzpatrick already boasts a handful of offers, and many more probably are on the way.
Rashan Gary, DT, Scotch Plains (N.J.) Scotch Plains Fanwood (New Jersey NFTC)
*The 6-feet-4, 285-pound tackle is an intriguing prospect for 2016. He already has offers from Florida and Rutgers. At the Nike Camp in New Jersey, he was extremely athletic. And, Gary has a great frame at a young age. He's probably a three-tech right now, but could grow into a nose.
This is a big-bodied kid that moves well for his age and is only scratching the surface.
FSU and Virginia Tech have interest in 2015 DT Darvin Taylor.
Darvin Taylor, DT, Chester (Va.) Thomas Dale (Richmond VTO)
*The 2015 standout does not yet have any offers but has strong interest from the likes of Florida State and Virginia Tech. At 6-feet-2, 305 pounds, he's already a very big kid.
Taylor has quick feet and is extremely strong, and that also comes across on film. Getting more violent, particularly at the point of attack, and having more active hands, is where he needs to improve … but the tools and frame are there.
