Coveted power forward Austin Nichols will wrap up his in-home visits tomorrow night.
Nichols is skilled and has some bounce
Having already officially visited Virginia earlier in September, Nichols will visit with Coach Tony Bennett on Monday.
Nichols, a 6-9, 205-pound power forward out of Memphis (Tenn.) Briarcrest Christian, has already been visited by the head coaches from the five other schools on his list- Auburn, Duke, Memphis, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
An official visit to Duke is scheduled for October 6 and Tennessee on October 20. The latest visit to be scheduled is a trip to Auburn for the opening weekend of basketball practice in between the Duke and Tennessee visits.
The original plan with all this fall recruiting activity was for Nichols to sign during the early signing period. However, if Nichols doesn't have it figured out by then, he will wait till the spring signing period.
"I don't know if he will sign early or not," said Nichols' father Mark Nichols. "That was the idea with all this stuff we have scheduled. If we feel comfortable with a decision, then he will sign in November. If he doesn't, we will wait.
"The Virginia trip was awesome. We like Vanderbilt. We like Duke and Coach K. We know what Tennessee is going to be like and that is awesome. We've never been to Auburn, but I'm sure it will be good."
Nichols has a No. 26 ranking by 247Sports and a No. 24 ranking in the 247Composite.
