A new running back target has emerged from the West who has claimed a few early offers. Perris (Calif.) Citrus Hill back P.J. Walker claims offers from Boise State, San Diego State and UNLV.
SDSU and Boise State are the top two for P.J. Walker.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound back is also hearing from a host of programs including Iowa, Colorado, Washington and more.
This past weekend the rising star visited Boise State and came home impressed.
"Boise State is a good program and a good school," Walker said. "I think what stuck out the most was the academics and the family feel of the program. On a scale of 1-10, I would give the visit an 8."
Following the trip, Walker said SDSU and Boise are currently his top choices. He spoke about the Aztecs and why they have his attention.
"I like the running back program at SDSU and how they use their backs," he said. "I also like their weight conditioning program too. It's old school like I'm used to. I've been to San Diego State and I love the campus and the area."
Coaches have commented on his ability to break tackles and his straight-line running style.
"I'm working on my speed and footwork right now. I've got a lot of things I can work on but those are a couple things I'm really focused on."
