Michigan "Loses" vs. Bama

After seeing the Bama teabagger after the BCSCG, you can bet we will be watching our poopers closely around you guys.

    Funnier!

Put it this way. It's gonna be like you putting a heavyweight vs a lightweight.

Completely unfair. Y'all should be mad at your AD

No real insight, but this is a very vivid picture! Good Luck!

  • I'm sold on our DB's and defense. I expect little drop off to be honest. Lots of experience returning unlike 2010. Michigan just isn't man enough to square off with Alabama for 4 quarters

The _ichigan D is in some trouble if they can't get their Dline together.

Robinson can keep them in it, but it won't be enough.

Is Jobba letting all the criminals play in the first game? If not, UM becomes a single threat and I highly doubt the toothless wonders would allow a one man show.

I think this game will be all about the DL. However, the DL I am refrencing is Bama's. Bama's DL and OLB/DE will be the keys to this game. If they perform, it can get ugly! If they don't, UM may pull off the upset.

Michigan lags behind in the talent department, that won't change for a few more years. For now, Michigan has Denard and if he is on, Michigan can hang with anybody. Michigan returns 2 of it's top 3 WRs from last year. Roundtree led the team in receptions 2 years ago. Four of the starters on the oline started at some point last year.

The dline lost 3 guys from last year, but those coming in this year are upperclassmen or a highly touted freshman. All the LBs and DBs return in the back 7. The kickers and punters return also.

If I am understanding you correctly, you feel that UM has a great chance to win, and this one will be close. To be honest, your post has convinced me a little. Also, it sounds like turnovers may be a factor in this game. Great insight Sir!

  • Bama is going to dominate the LOS on both sides of the ball but especially on offense. Our OL should be the best in the country with 4 returning starters and Kouandjio who got good PT last year. Our gameplan will be to keep Denard in the pocket and force him to pass. Same gameplan we implemented against Tebow and Cam and it worked very well as far as not allowing either to run. Denard can't pass for sh*t so if we keep him in the pocket, which I think we will, it's going to be a long day for UM.

Don't think it will be that close.

    Michigan - 13

I agree with you. Most people are talking about Bama's run game and OL, but the defense will win this game for Bama. Nice insight! Good luck if its needed!

Ture, it will be about controlling Denard Robinson. Nice thoughts!

LOL! I thought that after the fact.

  • So, what I have learned from the post ITT is Bama fans feel that UM has no chance because their defense will dominate. Michigan fans feel that they have to stay quite and sneak up on Bama by controling the run game and creating turnovers with their secondary. Outsiders feel that Michigan is just not quite ready for big boy football. Thanks to everyone for your views!

I think Bama wins but I wouldn't count UM out IF they can stop the run.Denard is faster and more slippery than Cam or Tebow. He can get loose when plays break down better IMO.I expect Bama's O-line to wear them down in the 2nd half though.

Ask Scoot how well that "stop the run, make 'em beat us throwing it" thing worked out last January...AJ has a deeper set of WRs to work with coming out of camp this year and I hope that everyone stacks the box on Bama early in the year.. If they do no one will be doing it later in the season after seeing what that brings...

Don't like Rammer Jammer? Probably because you just lost to Bama... Get ready to hear it again... and often...

  • Alabama is going to crush Michigan. Our (VT) defense completely shut down Michigan's O in the sugar bowl and Alabama's defense is a ton better. Robinson is gonna look like a little league player out there. Definitely not hating on Michigan but we all know it's not gonna be pretty. Don't worry Michigan fans you can watch Alabama crush us first game of next year too!

I watched the game so I don't need Scoot's advise.Bama won because they threw the ball via playaction on running downs.LSU's offense going 3 and out repeatedly help contribute to their defense gassing out.Bama just out game planned LSU.You didn't beat them because you ran all over them.I give credit to your coaches for out smarting the LSU coaching staff.

+1 for watching the game... Seems like the common theme on TBB here has been that no one but LSU and Bama fans watched it because it was so boring.

BTW, my point is and was that if Michigan stacks the box to stop the run AJ will pick them apart. Don't expect you to agree but that's ok as well...

You can expect a lot of blitzing from Mattison but I don't think he'll consistently stack the box.

I don't think it will be that low-scoring for either side.

  • Michigan wins because Bama fans can only count to 3 .....FG after FG after FG after FG theres no ''O'' in SEC .shoelaces will constantly break containment for 1st downs to keep drives alive and BAMA has no 'O'

  • first off i think bama wins, but, what i dont get is all the posts saying um will get drilled...

its not like um is coming into this game ranked below 25, they are a top 10 team in most polls...

would a number 10 team beating a number 1,2 or 3 (depending on the poll) be such a HUGE upset?

college football has had many, many bigger upsets then this could potentially be...

again, bama probably wins, but man its not like bama vs the citadel...

um could win IF, they play mistake free football (cant afford turnovers and stupid penalties in this one), denard makes an over aggresive d commit and he takes off for big runs, the um d line and backers stack the line and make bama's qb go to the air...

btw, not a homer, i'm a buckeye fan...and hope um does well
