Michigan "Loses" vs. Bama

  • i've said it before. this game is going to be an all out war.

meechigan is going to try to sock Bama in the mouth and see how they respond. they are hitting hard in practice.

i would not be suprised to see Bama having to come from behind to win this one.

new offensive coordinator, first year calling plays, biggest game he's been in - this is the story line IMO

if we establish the run early its over. if the offense struggles or tries to be too tricky this one could be a nail biter.

Nope the Crimson tide is nicknamed blue. You must work for Obama

I haven't read or heard a Michigan fan just say, "blue" in regards to UM's football team. Blue should win today because red has lots of injuries. Just seems odd to put it in a sentence.

first off i think bama wins, but, what i dont get is all the posts saying um will get drilled...

its not like um is coming into this game ranked below 25, they are a top 10 team in most polls...

would a number 10 team beating a number 1,2 or 3 (depending on the poll) be such a HUGE upset?

college football has had many, many bigger upsets then this could potentially be...

again, bama probably wins, but man its not like bama vs the citadel...

um could win IF, they play mistake free football (cant afford turnovers and stupid penalties in this one), denard makes an over aggresive d commit and he takes off for big runs, the um d line and backers stack the line and make bama's qb go to the air...

btw, not a homer, i'm a buckeye fan...and hope um does well

Just because they're top 10 doesn't mean they are anywhere close to Bama. Look at what Bama did to the #2 and #5 teams in last year's final poll. For Michigan to stay within 15 will be surprising. For Michigan to win would be a big upset. It's definitely possible, though.

As for the USC fan, LSU didn't just "go 3 and out." Bama FORCED more 3-and-outs than any defense in the country and easily moved the ball on the LSU's defense, which was far-and-away the best in the country after Bama's. Bama should have a much easier time moving the ball against Michigan's D, but even if Michigan matches LSU's defense from last year, it would still be a dominating show by Bama.
