+27 now. white, franzen and lindstrom are 2, 3, and 4 in the league.

White has been a great pickup and replacement for Rafalski. The Mule is doing his thing as usual, can't wait for the playoffs to see him go off.

  • Gotta love the Wings as a franchise for any sports fan. Were killing it right now and especially with Zetterberg gettin hot. I really hope we can have a great game against the Sharks tomorrow afternoon. They've kicked our ass this season and really the past 2 years

  • In Wings news today, the old Captain Stevie Y and Kenny Holland decided to troll the Avs. First, the Lightning gave Steve Downie to the Avs for Kyle Quincey, then they immediately traded him to the Wings for 2012 1st rounder and a prospect. The Avs had no idea that this was going down lol

At least they have talent, Leafs are so shitty and somehow someway they can't convince any free agents come to the best hockey market in the world.

I hate Brian Burke with a passion.

  • Bump. Playoffs are just around the corner, and teams are jockeying for position and playoff spots. This is the best time of the regular season. Fun, tough, desperation hockey.

Can't wait for the playoffs (second to March Madness for me) and Go Wings!

Agreed for the most part. L.A. went from 8th to 3rd back to 8th in a span of two games. It is so nice to be able to score more than one goal a game. I feel the Kings can compete with any team in the playoffs, but could miss the playoffs entirely or be bounced in the first round due to lack of continuity among the group...

Nothing is better than playoff hockey to me, and I'm a Kings fan.

I haven't really followed my former Flyer boys out in LA since their trades. How are J. Williams, Richie and Carter holdin' up out west? Anyone checking out the road to the Frozen Four as well?

Something must be in the water out west because scorers can't score in California this year. The Flyers quartet have struggled, but Carter has the biggest scoring punch since his arrival. When he scores, it's in bunches. Kings still can't get consistent scoring from their first two lines, even during our recent 6 game winning streak. Richards had something like a 22 game goal less drought that was recently snapped. Gagne is still out with concussion symptoms (big surprise there...). Williams is finally fully healthy this season and has a pretty good year considering our awesome 2 goals a game average as a team. He has a little over 50 points in 75 games.

How are Schenn and Simmonds holding up in Philly?

Not to be rude, because I like the Kings, but the reason for this is that your division is terrible. Dallas holding the #3 seed right now is pitiful.

Kings can make a run in the playoffs, and you guys certainly have the goaltending to make a run. Teams with great goalies like Quick suck to play in the playoffs. Goalie gets hot all of a sudden and better teams go down because of it. Like Anaheim with Guigere in 03(?) or Montreal with Halak a few years ago. This is why I don't want the Wings to play Nashville in the 1st round. Rinne is that type of goalie.

Good luck holding on to a playoff spot.

The Kings prior to Quick had teams that could score, but had goalies like Fiset, Storr (lol), Potvin, Cechmanek (briefly), and I forget who else before Quick. Even if they could make it to the playoffs, we stood no chance because of our average (at best) goaltending. Potvin did get hot in 2001 for a stretch.

This team reminds me of Buffalo in 1999 and Carolina in 2002. Not a ton of scoring, but can be looked down upon just enough to advance... fwiw, I don't think this year's team will advance very far if they get in the playoffs, but could be at that level in the next year or two.

Hawks lose Keith for five though... How's the goalie situation and when is Toews coming back?

Still don't wanna play the rags. They've just dominated the Flyers all year. Flyers have went 3-1 against the Pens (the current 4/5 matchup). Gonna be fun down the stretch. Bryz, gulp, has been the best player on the ice almost every game the last 3-4 weeks...

I think the Flyers got no doubt the better part of the trades getting rid of Richards and Carter (to CLB). SImmonds has 22 g and 42 pts, has been a beast in the corners, in front of the net and in fights and Schenn despite low production so far this year is slowly starting to play a more important role and getting some key minutes down the stretch. Voracek, has been a surprise as well, I never knew the guy was that fast. Man can he fly. All in all though, the Flyguys are having a great year and have a great future with all the rooks they have in the lineup and Bryz finally starting to play like the $51 mil goalie we were hoping for.

Throw in Couturier from the CLB deal as well. One of the outstanding rookies and just turned 19 a few months ago.
