  • From your incoming 2013 class.....

1 Player on Offense who will contribute as a true frosh

1 Player on D who will contribute as a true frosh

1 underated or kid that most dont expect to do much as a frosh from your class that will contribute

    Go...

  • USC

Offense- 4* RB Justin Davis. Kid will be an early enrollee, and is just a workhorse. If Silas Redd leaves,.kid could start & be the next great RB @ RB U

D- 4* CB Jalen Ramsey We definitely need CB help, & with out of state kids you gotta get them early playing time or they get sad, are unhappy and wanna go back home... Ramsey is ready to contribute as a frosh& could start day1

Suprise would be Khaliel Rogers. He could start at center for us as Khaled Holmes graduates, and Hobbi got abused by Stanfurd last year, he might be no bueno.

  • Just wondering - is this class of 2013 or only true freshmen? Because we've got a JUCO QB who is expected to come in and win the job (not a given, but expected). So he's not a true frosh, but is class of 2013.

Assuming it doesn't need to be true freshmen:

Offense: QB Tyler Ferguson. See above. Will fight Steven Bench for starting QB spot.

Defense: DB Jordan Smith. Early enrollee who will probably play safety, where we have about 2-3 scholarship players.

Surprise: APB Richy Anderson. Legacy and an early enrollee. We've got weapons on offense, but I think he could play well enough to see some time.

Our class has a lot of guys who will probably redshirt. Adam Breneman has a good shot at contributing given his talent, but his ACL injury and our depth chart at TE may mean he redshirts.

  • Offense: Ryan Green

    Defense: Desmond Hollins

Underrated: Jesus Wilson, 5'9 180, good speed, plays 6A ball in South Florida I believe. Versatile and just a good football player.

  • Offense: Deveon Smith, underrated RB who is going to be a workhorse power back at Michigan. Might not have the top end speed, but has everything else you want in a pro style RB

Defense: Taco Charlton, guy had a monster senior season and is an athletic specimen. He's up to 260 and could be an explosive edge rusher for Michigan right off the bat especially because he is an EE

Surprise: Channing Stribling, is a way under the radar kid from Butler HS in NC. Kid camped at Michigan to get an offer while he was unrated by most recruiting sites. He has proceeded to be a stud in his Sr. year for the state power and looks like he could be the long, athletic corner than Mattison covets.

I think Smith is going to contribute as well....

Offense: Jake Butt , Early Enrollee (True TE prospect who would create the ability for more 2 TE sets where both guys are receiving threats)

Defense: Dymonte Thomas, Early Enrollee (Kid is ready to play in college now. Prototypical Safety prospect)

Surprise: Csonte York. The WR position is not going to be deep and he runs clean routes and has outstanding hands. Could get on the field early in mulitple WR sets.

  • Offense - OJ Howard

    Defense - ArDarius Stewart

Underrated - I guess the lowest rated kid who has the most potential to make an impact would be Jonathon Cook. We always need DBs and the fact that we often play up to 6 at a time in some cases gives a lot of opportunities to get into the game (see the A.Stewart pick for Defense).

Sp Tms: I'll include this solely cause I expect Townsend to be #1 P from day one.

Underrated: Darron Lee (I expect he'll get a chance to cause some trouble on special teams early)

  • Offense - Derrick Henry and OJ Howard. Both will get considerable playing time their freshman year.

Defense - Maybe one of the CBs. Maurice Smith or Jonathan Cook could get some playing time, if Geno Smith moves to Star for good. They will have to beat out Smith, Fulton for the job though. One will be in the 2nd string rotation. Allen might get some playing time as well, but i dont see him beating out, Devall, Ragland, Lee, Anderson, or Hayes at any of the LB positions.

Surprise - Walker Jones. His father will tell you he is the most athletic of of Jones brothers.

I think Stewart gets his first shot at WR. In our system we will find somewhere for him fast and most likely RS him. He played 2A and the speed of the game is crazy different, but he was better on offense, and is amazing with the ball in his hand. He did do some things good on defense during the week of practice at the Miss/Ala AllStar week however. I think he may be the next big time punt returner at Alabama though

Callen, get ready for "Jane" to bring the pain to Braxton and company as soon as next year. He certainly didn't play like "Jane" this year racking up over 20 sacks after you guys ripped him all off-season because of lack of production.

I can't hate a man named Taco, solely because I love tacos.

Taco would have been a DE at OSU and OSU liked guys better there, pretty simple. Not gonna lose sleep over that one, even if he lives upto the lofty expectations of UM fans. Now if OSU had struggled recruiting DL lately, maybe, but they haven't so its a moot point.

Also, I've never really spoken out against Taco, not sure if you're just directing that to me because I'm an OSU fan or what...

I just assumed you had my bad if mistaken; and honestly it was more in good fun than calling you out or anything like that.

His name alone does make him an All-American though lol. I think he lives up to the billing, he's a big kid with athleticism. He's a legit 260 these days.

    cheers

  • LSU

Offense-Desean Smith-We severely lack a receiving threat at TE and Smith will remedy that.

Defense-Could go many different ways here but will go with the guy I expect to play the most next year, Tredavious White at CB. We're very young at CB already but as is our history lately, a true freshman will play alot. White is in the discusson as the best CB in the country

Suprise-Lewis Neal- we need DEs to contribute next year and Neal(who is considerably underrated because he lacks the measurables everyone fawns over) is by far the most college ready of our group. Small at just 6'1 230+ but is very skilled as a pass rusher and has that fire to succeed early. Real steal in this guy.
