Can't agree with the Beach Boys. Those guys changed a lot about recording and the way an album was put together, but I can go with the rest.
Popular doesn't always mean talented and some of these bands were way more popular than talented.

Nirvana for sure.
Edit: Just read the list and see they are number 1. Certainly agree with that. I can not, however, agree with AC/DC or Metallica being on that list.

AC/DC knows three chords. Not saying it isn't catchy, but they aren't that talented either.
I love Metallica, but anyone that plays music knows their stuff is pretty darn easy to cover. It is just power chords, which a person picking up a guitar for the first time could do. Their bass lines aren't much to be desired either.

That list is a joke. I would take off nirvana metallica nickelback and red hot chilli peppers maybe even greenday. No way those bands are underated. I have seen all of them in concert except for nirvana and they are bad ass. I remember mtv doin the top 500 countdown and Nirvana had like 5 songs on it. Sure there were times where greenday was nowhere to be found but when they did put sometimin out it was good. Same goes for nickelback.

The Doors had one good song (and by good, i mean bad). CCR is on a whole nother' level. Would be like comparing WSP and the Beatles, IYAM.

Here is the list and whether or not I agree with them being overrated.
10. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Yes & No
9. Bon Jovi - Yes
8. Green Day - Dookie was good when I was 13.
7. U2 - Yes, majorly overrated
6. Guns N’ Roses - No, Welcome to the Jungle is still badass
5. The Beach Boys - Yes
4. Metallica - Hell no, Metallica has been good for decades.
3. Nickelback - Hell yes.
2. AC/DC - No. This list sucks.
1. Nirvana - GFY! As a teenager in the 90's, Nirvana will always be remembered fondly.

I like almost all the the RHCP's albums, but can sort of understand them being "overrated". I can't really pinpoint it, but I kind of get it. Maybe them being SOOOOOO mainstream is what is doing it. (I have nothing against being mainstream, btw.)

I am not a fan of Nickleback or Kid Rock ( it all sounds the same to me ) and what makes a band " overrated " ..... Some consider Pink Floyd overrated, some consider Rolling Stones overrated, it is all up to the eye of the beholder....

You are correct on ACDC but could not be further from the truth on Metallica. Sure there are power chord sections in their songs but their music is much more complex as a whole. Ever play Master of Puppets?
