10 teams that can win the BCSCG next season......

  • What teams do you see as realistically having a chance next year of getting it done?

Alabama (easy route to the game with only aTm and the SECCG looking as trouble spots....don't sleep on Ole Miss though guys)
Texas A&M (Matthews returning gives them some stability up front to go with the outstanding FR from last season)
Ohio St (easiest route to the game and an offense that could be really good)
Oregon (even without Kelly, I'm leaving them there)
Georgia (Senior leadership at QB and the offense could make up for the losses on defense)
Clemson (Is Boyd ready to put it together in ALL the big games....just needs a few great games at the right time)
Florida (Can the offense get better? If so, they will contend)
Stanford (Everyting is in place to run through the PAC12 this season. Just need to keep from slipping in the lesser games)
Florida St (need a QB to step up, but the talent level there is still on the rise. Favorable schedule, but have to travel to Florida)
Texas (my surprise addition. Big12 should be a little watered down this season and Texas has the best physical talent. Big IF on the QB play, but it has to get better....right?)

  • The rest look good to me outside of Texas, and maybe Clemson.

Boyd and Clemson's Offense weren't the problem. I don't see their defense getting much better. They just lost 3 starters off a secondary that was simply awful. I think they are capable of getting there, but probably not winning.

I thought Stanford was losing a ton as well.

I just don't see them as a problem this year. Most years, they are our toughest game of the year regardless of what the records say. This year, I just don't see it. I really like their OL, but also think they are one more year away from elite level at that position. Too many holes on defense as well this coming season.

The offense did sputter in the SCar game. The losses on defense would concern me more if they were quality players. I feel they have other guys just as good. I just like their schedule outside of the SCar as well though. That's why I think they have a shot.

Texas is my surprise. Don't really expect many to agree, but if you look at what the Big12 has coming back, who's better? That was my reasoning there. Maybe a small chance, but they could run the table.

Stanford has most everyone back. They are like ND. They award their RS at the end of the career, so a lot of players listed as SRs were really RS JRs.

Like I said, they could get there, I just don't see them winning against a team that is good on both sides of the ball. They beat 1 team in the top #50 this year......1.

I agree. Think about how close they were to beating FSU....and now they get them at home. If they would have done that, they would have been the SCar game away from the BCSCG.

    Can be a big IF.

    Would add Louisville.

  • They weren't that close...we were up 18 with like 2 min left...and we kneeled the ball inside their 10 to end the game.

  • We got this.

They weren't real close to beating us. They were down three scores with 2 left ad we kneed the ball out at the 10. They also scored 21 pts as a result of the following... Muffed punt at our 20, a bad call on the fake fg where they got STOPPED and on a fvcking wr pass.

They were closer to getting flat our embarrassed than they were to beating us......

With that said, they should be favored in all of their games next year sans USCe.
