Don't see why its a shock. I like Alabama, and hope they slaughter ND. Saban is my favorite coach. To be honest, I don't want Williams. I hope Banks falls to Pittsburgh, but I don't see him getting passed TB.

slap Lions need a CB more than anything. Eifert with Manning would be illegal.

    Hmmm not a bad choice.

I'd like to see us take a MLB in the 1St but this isn't a bad pick.

    Solid mock Mountie.

  • There will be at least 2, maybe 3 or 4, QBs picked in the first round. Who saw Tannehill or Weeden as first round QBs in December of last year? Not many people. Similar things will happen this year. KC will surely take a QB, probably Geno. I think Oakland would be a good fit for Matt Barkley, even as high as they're drafting. I'm hearing some rumblings that Ryan Nassib of Syracuse could be a 1st round run. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cleveland take a QB, especially since they'll have a whole new administration and coaching staff.

You gotta wonder if Oakland will want to give Pryor a shot before spending a high pick on a QB, not saying they will, but it has to be in the back of their mind.

If I am Oakland, I take this off-season clean up some of the mess and figure out what to do with Palmer and Pryor. Next year is when I would focus on QB. There is so much work to be done in Oakland, that i think it is more advantageous to let Pryor develop and see if there is anything there.

  • As a Lions fan I do not want Teo. Great kid, but IMHO he's not an elite athlete. Besides, MLB isn't one of our greatest needs.

If a DE is the best player on the board, I'd take one. Otherwise, we should go Jarvis Jones or an OT. Or maybe Dee Milliner. A bit earlier than he's projected, but he'll be a solid NFL starter.

Any A&M or SEC people wanna chime in on the two Texas A&M OTs, Joeckel and Matthews? Are either/both projected as LT at the next level? From the 2012 draft we have Riley Reiff, but he's better suited at RT. I'd prefer a guy who's projected as a sure LT.

There's a lot of teams that could take a QB this year. Arizona, NY Jets, KC, Oakland, Jacksonville. Problem is that drafting a QB this year is just adding one more name to a fray of mediocrity. None of the QBs on the board can/will salvage a franchise in year one like RG3 or Luck. A QB will only get drafted if it's someone trying to save their job, or put a new face on the franchise.

Seems like Oakland has plenty of other problems it should be dealing with.

  • One thing for sure about the Ravens is you never know which way we will go in the draft. Ozzie Newsome probably sticks to best player available better than any other GM out there.

I wonder if/what the skins will get offered for Cousins?
