We pretty much started mailing it in after Sherman's March to the Sea.

  • Considering how talent has fallen off, PA is showing pretty strong.

PSU had three I believe...none of them seem to be originally from PA.

  • I get so upset when people try to argue the south isn't as dominate as they are made out to be

If anything the south is more dominate than they are made out to be

Well, they are because of a bunch of different factors that are in their favor. The high school systems are set up so the best players can play together on the same team, while having the best facilities and best coaches on the high school level. Another advantage they have is they can practice year round outdoors, and have many scrimmages/competitions outside of the season through 7on7 tournaments and other methods.

The northern states like Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan are working on improving their football through indoor training facilities ran by former players and trainers, along with summer programs that can help players stay in football shape and never miss a beat.

Obviously there is a difference in talent, but it isn't a crazy difference, it's just the south is able to keep their players playing year round.

The difference is pretty crazy, or large

Ego just allows you to think you are close, and BS projects like indoor training facilities

Ohio has some of the best high school coaches in all of the country.

Meyer was blown away. He isn't one to mince words. He said the south without question has way more talent than Ohio but that Ohio high school players on average are way better coached than those in the south.

    Ummmm.... blank

Have you ever watched SoFla High Schools play football ? Abysmal facilities. Below average coaching. (well below average TBH) Outside of private schools, they play where their zoned. Touche on the year round part but it doesn't make kids run like the wind... That's genetics.

Ugh, I would say the more you run the more strength it builds in your running form and so on

So I would say its not all genetics, my favorite Bowden quote ever was " I reckon a boy that chases rabbits has a chance to be a bit faster than a boy who don't chase rabbits "

In other words, the boy who runs more will likely be faster than the boy who doesn't ( clearly this isn't 100% true, but its more the norm than the exception imo )
