2013 SEC schedule released

  • Im sure LSU fans aren't happy with another cakewalk for Bama. LSU and Arky both have really tough schedules.

  • 9 game conference schedules are dumb. I'd rather play a big non-conf game than another SEC team. Plus, it makes it that much harder to go undefeated as you are playing teams who are more familiar with you.

    Has any team with a 9 game conference schedule made it through undefeated? I am not talking about championship games in addition to an 8 game conference slate. With a championship game, you are talking 10 conference games. That is a recipe for missing the BCS title game.

    Unless we form a OOC union like the PAC12-B1G, teams would just keep scheduling FCS schools.

    Damn I love our schedule next year. Dont play first SEC game until week 3. Dont play back to back games against SEC teams until November. If we get a quarterback, or Petrino, or both, we might be greatly improved next year

    Edit: I guess we do play Moo State at home and LSU away consecutively in the 3rd and 4th week, but that is the only time we play SEC teams back to back until November

    Do I go to the FCS site for the ooc games?

    Even worse for South Carolina, you have to go to the ACC site(UNC and CU)

    Valid argument except for the fact of the 4 team playoff going in in 2014, the same season we a proposing 9 conference games

    When do the B1G and ACC go to 9 game schedules? Definitely won't happen until then, IMO. The only reason the PAC12 stuck with 9 game schedules when they went to 12 teams is because that gives them an extra conference game at home every other year which brings more money since none of them can sell enough tickets to their OOC games.

    ACC is going from 9 to 8. SEC will go to 9, once they get sick of the PAC-12 and Big-10 making more money than they do. SEC is not going to get a new tv contract till they go to 9 games.
