Very strange. You guys have had great LBs for most of the past decade or longer. Every school loses a hometown player here and there, but you guys have struggled more than usual lately IMO. It is a little like us whiffing on RBs and WRs the past 2-3 years, but we have the RR debacle to blame.

He named us his leader, although its really hard to get a read on the kid. He isnt a big fan of the recruiting process. His Father played at AU and It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he end up down south. The only solid news I have heard on him that I trust is from someone in Raekon McMillian camp who said he wouldn't be surprised if Booker was the first member of the 2014 class. Again that's all speculation but he is one of the few guys on Bucknuts I trust when it comes to insider info with this kid. I would put it at about 55/45 that he ends up at OSU.

Credit for this goes to EF_Wolverine,
"Since June 10, 2011, Hoke has landed eight Ohio kids with Ohio State offers (Strobel, Kalis, Wormley, Thomas, McCray, Smith, Gedeon, Ferns). In the TEN (!!!) classes from 2002-2011, Michigan landed SEVEN Ohio kids with OSU offers (Crable, Burgess, Mike Massey, Manningham, Boren, Koger, Turner). That's....mind-boggling."

I actually really don't think it is, OSU fans are going to have to get used to UM getting a good amount of players from Ohio each year IMO. Its hard to keep that fence up when you keep giving love to kids that live 2,000 miles away.

I think Urbie's lack of Ohio focus is part of it, but I also think Hoke and Mattison have brought a new intensity to recruiting that was lacking toward the end of the Carr years. It also helps that Hoke is an Ohio boy and that he walked into the UM job with plenty of Midwest recruiting relationships from his time at Ball State.

Non troll post, but looking for clarification from Buckeye kids, I heardTrey Depriest wanted to go to Michigan but the whole RR experiment had him choosing ~ OSU and Bama? Is that even close to accurate? Also, wasn't their rumors that he was going to xfer to OSU or was that BN subscription pull tactics?
