3 Best WR corp in America- USC, WVU, and ????

  • Lol at the WVU fan.... so he believes that WVU has the best QB and WR corp.... just a slight bit of homerism.... too bad you still wont win a BCS title with them...

I can see this mainboard is about FSU posters protecting their turf. You guys must have a really hard job since you're not relevant anymore charading as an elite college football program. That's what happens when you haven't been relevant on the national stage since the 90's

    Shut up!

When was the last time west Virginia played for it all? Was it the 80s because it will but happen again for a long time.

I'm not hating on Ponder. He wasn't an elite college football QB. He was drafte on potential, not proven ability.

JeMarcus Russell Ring a bell? What's he doing now?

So if we are not relevant what does that make WVU for losing to us.... hmmmm

1988. Undefeated season in '93, got whipped by Florida in the Sugar Bowl.

And the had the first duel threat QB in Major Harris.... or at least I would say he was the start of it all in college ball...

I would place Clemson in the top 5.

    I am not sure if it's 4th or 5th.

WVU and USC are #1 and #2 ( in no respective order).

Bill King said he would put WVU's WR corp at #1. I like USC's a lot too.

    Of course, I'm Biased :)

I have to watch your games this season. I didn't watched any games, including the bowl games, the past two years....you could say that was my own little protest for the two year bowl ban.

It will be fun watching this season, the best receiving corp doesn't always play on the winning teams, or the strongest conferences.

Its tough to name a #1 wr corp because every team is different.

USC vs Clemson/Tenn, FSU for example:

Qb: USC (Boyd 1st yr starter, Bray injury, EJ sacked 30+ times+injuries)

Defense: Pac 12 one of the worst defenses last yr, ACC very respectable, SEC loaded

Clemson had the best run gm, Tennesse/FSU faced far tougher defenses

    I would say

    1 - Clemson
    2 - USCw
    3 - FSU
    4 - WVU
5 - who cares, too early for me to really say... confident in first 4

USCw and Clemson are a 1a and 1b

Please expand upon the great defenses FSU faced in the ACC.

More respectable than most Pac 12, Big 12 and BE. I know that isn't saying much but hey it's better than nothing

Fine...defenses that didn't get 70 points dropped on their head by West Virginia?

Or maybe the Orange Bowl is where otherwise solid ACC defenses go to take it in the a**

So Clemson alone represents the entire conference... well lets look at Washington State and I will use them as the Pac 12 representative then... is that fair... as a whole. All 12 teams or 9 teams the ACC had tougher defenses. Not great, not elite but tougher... nothing more, nothing less

Not really a comparison, considering Clemson won your league, and Wazzu finished 11th.

I guess I'm biased from watching the ACC champ take a combined 134-59 L in their last three bowls to two conference runners-up and a big east champ. Good looks for your D's.

Well Pac 12 teams allowed more than 450+ yds in bowl gms.

I wasnt taking a shot, just pointing out the variables I used when ranking.

Lee/Woods would still be good in any conference, Im just saying Hunter, Watkins, Greene, etc might be even better in the Pac 12.

Clemson was the ACC champ. Washington St was 5th in the Pac12 North. Compare Clemson, Virginia Tech, and FSU to Oregon, Stanford, and USC

Again you are saying 1 team represents the entire conference. Regardless of being the conference winners or not.... if you are using 1 team then I can too, right.... as a whole the ACC defenses are tougher... that is it...

OK, so how is it OK to say Clemson reprensts that ACC... is that fair.... or not.... why not look at the conference in its a whole instead of one game.... again Clemson alone doesn't equal the ACC just like Wazzu doesn't represent the entire Pac 12 correct...

If it was just Lee/Woods it would be one thing. There is also Farmer, Blackwell, Flournoy with Algholor and Rogers coming in.

From the top down USC is deeper at WR than any other school.
