The powers that be do not want it much lower than that. 6% is considered full employment.

Labor force participation, now and in the future, will be the product of the baby boomers. Also, people on unemployment are not "on the dole".

Of course, they are noble working Americans who cannot get the rich to take the boots off of their backs.

With regards to disability claims, I would guess that probably 50% are totally bogus and an additional 30% could find some form of employment but choose not to. Look at how many people come off of federal disability once on it. Sad to say (because its not that much money) but they feel set for life.

This is great. Now if we could quit paying them for 60 years for 30 years work.

You are trying to explain logic to a child 18-19 year old who has never even paid taxes that spends all day on this site cutting and pasting from liberal websites as if they are his own thoughts...

You should come up with your own material instead of plaigerizing without giving credit - stealing an intelligent man's words and passing them of as your own is embarrassing....

Not melodrama, it's poking fun at you saying that a person who doesn't work and accepts government money is somehow not on the dole.

One also has to be laid off for no fault of their own and is intended to aid them until they get until another job of similar stature. They can't just be like "hey! I don't want to work for [insert time frame here]" and collect. It's retarded to have a laid off worker displace themselves entirely from their most beneficial role for a lesser job because of some misplaced conservative principle.
