8 team playoff would....

  • make this weekends bubble busters even more exciting w/ rivalry week upon us.

LSU likes the idea although Texas couldnt give a Fogs azz about it.

would top 8 be top 8 bcs teams? If so UF-FSU, and SC-CU games would be huge as they would be elimination games for the playoffs as well as rivalry games.

  • top 8 - BCS Top 8

    "Sweet 16"
    * conf champs(ranked among the final top 20(or 25) get an auto- in
    - making CCG's even bigger

    * remaining spots filled by highest ranked non-conf winners
    * round one = home site to highest seeds.
    * rnd 2,F4,NCG utilize current Bowl rotation (adding Cotton, Chick-fil-A, Little Ceas/Detroit- all domes)

Yep. I actually think the BCS would be much better for picking a top 8 then a top 2.

Round one should be played ~December 23rd
Round two should be played ~January 5th

    National Championship played ~January 15th

Ten days between semis and championship lets the kids get a little more healed up and prepared.

would ND fall out w/ a loss to unranked USC ? inside the bubble teams would likely be Irish fans this week.
