You're arguing against yourself. Only the Glen Beck's of the far left are asking for gun bans, I'm sorry. 0001% of the population pisses you off to this extent but life is alot shittier than those 17 people. I guess I'm a 'liberal hippy' but I own and love guns, I just can't defend unrestricted assault weapons with 100 round drums on them. If that's for "protecting your home" then you've got much bigger problems for a small army to be invading your home.

No. Despite the fact of wanting the freedom to do something and the fact that it would seem to fall under a constitutionally protected right, you don't necessarily have that all the freedom in theory. Now the fire case once was not protected, but that was overturned. Things change. That's the lesson behind that. Interpretations change. The layman's interpretation and belief is not necessarily the actual law of the land.

That's a legitimate beef, but Canada and Australia are pretty similar gun cultures but they have better stats than us.
