What are the white walker called in the books? Isn't it different? I can't remember for the life of me.
Also aren't there two different kinds or am I imagining that. I seriously need to read the books again.

If that is the case that is what pissed me off about the first scene in the first scene. It was the white walkers or whatever that attacked the Rangers but in the books it was definitely the Others.

Martin has a book or series that is focused on Khalesi and her dragons that won an award as well in the late 90's. I read the book that got the award and it focuses a lot more on her dragons. If his fat ass ever writes the next two books you can bet that her dragons will be a huge part of it.
This is just speculation on my part but I think he wants to end it with Daenarys and Jon Snow hooking up even though they are really family. As Cersei said, the Targeryn's inbred for centuries to keep their bloodlines pure. Now you have a Snow, who becomes the lightbringer, and the queen of the dragons bring the kingdom back. You do know who Jon Snow is the son of at this point don't you? Just think of Snow and Targeryn and the title "Fire and Ice"

The zombies are called Wights in the books. It seems to me that anyone killed by an Other becomes a Wight. There even "Wight" horses, etc IIRC.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he just kill off Snow in the last book. Its been almost a year since I read it so I can't remember if he left an out for Snow to survive, but I feel like I remember there being no going back from the way he wrote it.
