Some is speculation like if he is going to become azor ahai or not. The fact that he is killed and lives in the body of Ghost is a fact. Speculation is that he will be resurrected but you can't say that for sure. I'm assuming your just asking about Snow though.

I might be lost in the names of the direwolves but didn't they lop off Rob's head and his direwolf and then sew his direwolf's head on his body? You might be saying that his direwolf got crazy when he died, before they lopped of the wolf's head, but I would assume that all of them would knowing that species after watching their master killed. They seem like the most loyal animal I have ever heard of when it comes to their masters.

There's a passage where some Freys are talking about how many people it took to take out Grey Wind (Rob's wolf) after he died. I suspect that you don't have to know "how" to enter the wolf in order to go there when you die; I think it happens naturally. The kids are bonded to their wolves; even Arya can see through Nymeria after she chases the wolf off in Book 1.

Also, Grey Wind was not in the castle when Robb gets killed; he was forced to remain outside (I'm actually re-reading Book 3 and read that part about 2 days ago lol). He then goes nuts, they eventually kill him and put the wolf's head on Robb.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

I don't think they've shown him in Ghost's body, or that he's dead. He's been stabbed 4 times is all we know.

Exactly. A lot of things in this thread are debatable but the fact that Snow is a warg and is currently surviving by inhabiting animals instead of his own body is not. With that said, I also thought that Snow was going to be Azor but then gave up on it when he died. I hope you are right and he does have a plan to bring him back as a pivitol character.

I don't recall him showing up in Ghost's body yet, just that he was stabbed multiple times. He may not even be dead yet.

Also, Martin had better have some bad things happen to some bad people soon. I get the "realistic" approach, but this is getting overly pessimistic; just about everyone who is a "likeable" character is completely screwed by the end of book 5, except MAYBE Bran and Arya. No clue where Rickon is, probably skaagos with the cannibals. Great.

That is exactly what I said earlier about why I didn't even finish book 5. It isn't 'realistic' anymore it's just pessimistic crap.

He draws you in by making you like certain characters and then f*cks them ALL over and calls it realistic because he knows people will keep buying

and reading to find out what happens next.

I was just stating that Jon is a warg, not that he's inside of Ghost permanently.

thats where i was confused, thats what i thought you meant because it has been said in this thread a few times that he is in ghost now that he is dead. like the one wildling that snow killed that was a warg with the eagle and then attacked snow later on because its assumed part of the wildlings spirit remained in the eagle. yes he is a warg that can go into and kind of become ghost. i dont think he is ghost now(after 5th book) in the same way the wildling was the eagle.

As I remember it is at least implyed that Jon's body is dead and that he is having to survive by living in ghost.

  • Jon is dead. The wording went something like he didn't even feel the last knife in the back that slipped between his ribs. His last thought was Ghost. I do not know if this means that he is living in Ghost now but imo it will not matter because when Melisandre performs the burial rites on him he will be resurrected (just like the red priest did to his companion) as Azor Ahai.
I also think that Jon is Ned Stark's son. If I remember correctly there was something about how the only time he was dishonorable was when he cheated on his wife. He would never name Jon's mother so she may very well have been a Targaryen.

That's what Ned wants everyone to think. There is no mention of any female Targaryens during this time period. Makes you theory unlikely.

So how old do you think Jon is? Is he older or younger then Robb? I always got the impression that he was younger and if so how is my theory any more unlikely than others itt that were speculating that he was the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark? I honestly was stressing more that I thought he was the true born son of Ned Stark. I may be really off on this but the impression that I got from reading the books was that he was younger than Robb.

  • I made the mistake of reading all the published books when I started watching Game of Thrones last year. After book three NOTHING of real importance happens. A Feast for Crows and A Dance With Dragons are two thousand pages of filler. The issue being, of course, that now the series is pretty much ruined for me, since I know that they will have nowhere to go with it, once they get past the betrayals at The Twins.

Good old George Martin has fallen into the exact same trap that all those other fantasy authors have dropped into when they work on their epics. They pad them out needlessly, and put off any conclusions to the major plotlines for years and years. That cash cow is going to dry up the second he puts an ending on this one, and he is in no hurry to do that. The last two books are wastes of paper and tiime, and I am pretty sure that book six, whenever its finally finished, will be more of the same.

Im still enjoying the series, because of how good Peter Dinklidge (Spelling is probably wrong) is. I like that storyline, at least for now. Of course even his storyline becomes crap pretty soon.

  • Anybody know if the healer that sawed off that guy's foot was a minor or major character or just a nobody to explain Robb's motive? At first glance I thought she was his future wife but then I remember she doesn't come into play until he gets wounded on the battlefield. Any thoughts? I know the tv series isn't directly following the books so I'm thinking she may indeed be his future wife.

I think that's who she's supposed to be . . . but she's definitely not from Volantis in the books.

  • So . . . I just read that Jaqen H'Gar is still in the books, likely as "the alchemist" who's inflitrated the Citadel. Totally thought that dude just disappeared. I have a new appreciation for Feast for Crows.
