ACC TV deal?

  • ErnieMcCracken said...

Yeah- the SEC could for a brief second but long term you will not. You are stuck with your TV contract.

Do not understand why you horns keep spouting this off. What part of Mike Slive is restructuring the TV contract for more money and the creation of an SEC network do you not understand?

Do you have a link to support what you say? This is what I have.

    Yep, out today actually

SEC will soon get nice pay bump from TV deals

ACC and Big 12 renegotiations reflect how much higher the SEC will go

Sounds pretty thin. My guess is the SEC gets an ACC type bump.

That would mean we would be equal to the Big 12. Lulz.

Its not that we want to be the best we just simply are the best. It comes natural.

SEC was 2nd last year from "top to bottom" according to these rankings. While the ACC comes in 7th, behind the Big East & Independents.

Are you really this dumb to think the SEC will not be making more than any other conference??

    How about a ban bat??

Why did USC, UCLA, Washington, etc. only get $8 million per year for their TV rights in 2010? Do you really think they were worth that little? Why did it jump to 18+ million in 2011? Was it USC being on probation?

Or perhaps it was because they were coming off of a long-term binding contract that paid $8 million per year and then signed a new one? Were they really that dumb to keep getting revenues that were below market? They know what a binding legal contract is. You don't. When the SEC signed their contract they were making more than any other conference.

Status, quit making yourself appear ignorant. The BTN was launched in 2007 and its revenues have been increasing exponentially ever since (up 21% in 2011). Its per school payout in 2011 was $7.9 million per school. Nice to hear that the SEC's will pay out $15 million per school the first year. Dolt.

Gosh you are dumb. Do you think that Texas would have gotten $300 million for the LHN if it was only negotiating with FSN? It was only when FSN, ESPN and a PE group out of NY got into a bidding war that the price climbed that high. Slive is exercising a look-in right under the contract. Adding two teams will add value to the contract. There will be no dilution when the SEC goes from 12 to 14 teams. The per school payout will increae. I expect it will increase enough that the SEC will again be #1. But if the old contract was terminated and the contract was up for open market bidding, the 25 million (let's say) would be 40 millon. Go to school and learn something.

Yes... next year the likes of Vanderbilt and ole miss will be making more money than fsu. Let that sink in.

Congrats to those two programs that they can enjoy that one year. I hope both teams use those funds to kick florida's arse.
