  • Duh I guess is only thing to say. Won't matter soon if FSU and B12 are smart and join up. Subtract FSU and Clemson from ACC and they have no say in anything.

  • I notice so far the only conference who does not want that is the sec, and bama is the most vocal since they got the nod over other one loss teams last year. Last year is the main reason everyone wants a playoff, because of the rematch in the championship game. Also they need to get rid of the coaches poll because it is bs

  • Of course he does. The ACC hasn't won a BCS game in like 7 years ( Cincy maybe?) and most of the time don't deserve to be there.

    As a college football fan I want to see the best teams.

    Last years ACC champ was beat up and down the field by the 4 best team in the SEC and a WVU team that needed a tie breaker to win the Big Least. As far as final AP rankings go it was the worst ACC in 35 years. Not one top 20 team.

    Other than west Virginia and south Carolina what other teams from other conferences beat Clemson. Also everyone knows that Clemson was not really the best team in the conference. They just got lucky with a once in a lifetime type player and caught other teams with injuries to key players.

  • Most years more than one sec team starts in the top five given them an advantage over other teams if they have one loss even if they do not win the conference. Which is why some commissioners are trying to do conference champ only playoffs

    That's cool if we are talking a 12-1 BCSCC and an 11-1 non-BCSCC,but not an 11-1 non-BCSCC and a 9-3 BCSCC.

  • If we are going 4 spots playoffs, then I am in favor of conference champion preference, but not necessary only. Like the top-6 compromise, or even stretch that to top-8. With the ACC's dismal performance in bcs bowls, they should have no say, and count themselves lucky that the PAC, SEC, and 2 Big's don't cut them out completely.

    This is exactly why this whole playoff thing isn't going to solve the problem. If they do the conference champion thing that is the dumbest thing ever. We are supposed to get the BEST teams.
