…as soon as I saw that you didn’t have to validate your e-mail address, I knew it was less of a question of “could it be hacked” and more “how badly will it be hacked.”
Whoever ESPN hired to set this up appears to be incompetent, but the question is how incompetent. My guess is that they’ll either (a) throw out the first few hours worth of votes or (b) go back and filter out the hacked votes. It all depends on what kind of logs ESPN kept.
There is the slight possibility that ESPN made this so easy to hack as a honeypot to make it easy to identify the bogus votes. But if you were doing that, then you wouldn’t try to put a band-aid by limiting you to Facebook votes in just a few hours. That was the first day of voting. We definitely did hack it and so did other schools. ESPN threw out those votes and started over.
I believe this was a legit vote other than people creating multiple Facebook accounts.

They are just as likely themelves not to win 6 games yet you are worried about what TAMU is or isn't doing. I guess them dumping Texas for the SEC must have stung a bit.
