I think we are splitting straws here honestly. Michigan and/or Michigan St were all along with Ohio, Baylor, and Iowa St as the possibles for #25. Michigan had the most impressive win and got the nod. I don't think anyone would think anyone in that 21-30 range has really proved anything major.
Yes, both have been beaten down by top 10 teams. If you compare the only other thing we know, their common games went very differently, even though both were losses. Don't think it is anything to worry about. Both teams are playing for standings now. The rankings don't matter for each right now..
I completely agree with you about the Sugar Bowl. Those last 1 or 2 at large picks are always popularity contests. Michigan won out because they were going to bring more people and bring more money to the game. The same thing was the case between Virginia Tech and Kansas St or Baylor. It came down to $$. There may be bias in the voters, but it's not nealy the same as with these bowl selection committees.

Because Hoke was not going to change an offensive system that was already in place with players that fit that scheme. He could try and force the players into a different system, however, that would just be another excuse for you to fall back on like a crutch.
Notice how Urban is doing the same thing with the talent that was left in Tressel's wake? Go ahead and tell everyone that aOSU has no talent either.

To be fair, many of the teams in the top 25 haven't proven anything either. What has USC proven? That they can beat Syracuse and lose to Stanford? Or Louisville or Rutgers or Boise State or Texas A&M? Many (most) of the teams in the rankings are there simply because they are zero or one loss teams without any consideration of who they've played. At least half of them will be gone from the list by the end of the season.

You are inferring so many incorrect and unrelated things that I wont even begin to delve into this. I actually watch our games and I know our schemes, philosophies and personnel far better than you. The talent gap starts and stops in the trenches. It doesn't get any simpler than that. I already explained why the talent we have all over the field was neutralized, but I guess you don't address the points you can't refute.
You can hate on Michigan all day if that makes you feel better about already having a failed season with your stud quarterback not winning the Heisman or the National Chip.

LMAO!!!
I'm not the one hating on UM...I'm giving them more credit than you are. The talent is there. The scheme sucks. Bama had all fall to prepare for the scheme. They took away Robinson and that renders your offensive scheme worthless. Notre Dame followed the same game plan.
Auburn did it to oregon when they played.
Ohio St. did it to Oregon when they played.
The scheme sucks when facing good defensive lines...it makes playing defense that much easier when you do not have to respect the passing game.
No Excuses.

Yeah, true. That's part of the problem. We haven't seen enough quality games to separate out the ones that probably belong in the 11-25 range. IMO Alabama is clearly #1. Then you have another 3-5 teams that clearly have stood out. After that, take your pick. Is Rutgers clearly better than Nebraska? I know if I was a coach and really needed a W, I would much rather play Rutgers. But Rutgers is 5-0 and UNL is 4-2 so Rutgers is ranked.

You are a fucking moron. Re-read your first few sentences. Our talent was close to theirs but we lost because our entire offense was one player? Sounds like a talent gap to me.
If you want me to specify, the talent gap in the trenches was wider than your vag. We got manhandled on both sides. When that happens in any game at any level, nothing else matters. You will lose every time. A good receiver is worthless if a quarterback never has time to throw to him and a good LB is ineffective if the O-linemen are out to block him on every run.
Or maybe you just don't understand football

That's a pretty bold statement. You do have MSU and OSU, correct?
