  • Observation from an outsider, and by outsider meaning I have no inclination to care more about Auburn or Alabama. Here's my objective opiionion

    -Alabama under Nick Saban needs no explanation or defense. He may have sold his soul to the devil but that doesnt help anyone in the west, including Auburn. Saban is an unstoppable machine at this point

    -Auburn was the beneficiary of the best college football player of my lifetime (28 yrs). Cam Nexton was absolutely sick. 1 man dynasty killer. If you can objectively take that 1 aberration from Chizick's record (to get a more accurate view of his overall coaching worth; there are outliers in statistics for you dumbasses) calling him an average coach is flattering. 5-19 at Iowa State which is next level stinking garbage in that weak conference. At Auburn, minus Cam, he is 16-10 and 7-9 in conference. With Auburn's committment to good football, that is terrible. Almost any coach could win regular season 7 and have a losing conference record at Auburn. Any rational Auburn fan that cares to explain why they are relevant on any scale above mid tier SEC level or even remotely in Bama's hemisphere, please explain. Dont worry, I'll wait...

  • That's the beauty of reality --- you cannot take away Cam Newton. That actually happened. I mean, literally, it did. I know a lot of people like to pretend that it didn't exist or use a principle of statistics to discredit the fact that Gene Chizik and his staff evaluated Cam, offered him, and recruited him to Auburn. Gene Chizik also hired the mastermind that allowed Cam to play to his true potential, resulting in his lofty draft status.

    I don't expect many people to understand the above concept. It's like saying that you're a man, but take away the balls, and you become less of a man. Suffice it to say, I'm not expecting intelligent discourse.
