Ill link some of his stuff from staind and his solo stuff in a little bit.
What do y'all think makes someone a top tier musician? For me it's sounding just as good or better live as in a studio, writing your own songs, living the songs you write, and playing some sort of instrument well. Of course be at the top level at nearly all of those

Sounding as good live as in the studio, voice, writing songs, instrumental talent. Living the songs? Meh. Axl Rose is one of the best musicians in history, and he wasn't close to being a role model.
When it comes to Metalcore, Matt Tuck is far ahead of the game right now. His singing is top notch, his screams are elite, he can strum the guitar in either lead or rhythm roles, he writes some of BFMV's songs, but not all. That is normal for a band. Their new album releases in February and I'm pumped.
For females, There are some really talented girls in the rock scene. Lzzy Hale, Cristina Scabbia.... Can't overlook Carrie Underwood when it comes to pure power of the voice. She kills it. She is ultra talented.

All good points +1. I am not familiar with those artists, but usually people in that genre are really talented.
And by living the songs I don't mean good role models, but giving legitimacy to their songs through personal experiences unlike some artists who just throw crap together

I recommend you to download all 3 Bullet for my Valentine albums. If you like a hard rock, but not "too" hard, you will love what they bring.
The Poison
Scream, Aim, Fire
FeverThose are in order. Their 4th album releases in February. A few songs to get you started from the first album would be Tears Don't Fall, All These Things, Suffocating Under Words of Sorrow. The entire album is great, and so are the other two. I'm actually listening to the Scream, Aim, Fire album right now.

I have seen staind in concert 5 times. I was within 10 foot of them when they made the video for the song outside in biloxi and to be honest they ain't even top 3 in concert that i have seen. Linkin park is the best band i have ever seen in concert followed by creed and korn. Yes i said creed. It was before they went all pop. They put on a really good show. Korn was awesome. I seen them 4 times none later than 2005. Also seen rage against the machine and they were bad ass too

I like Aaron Lewis. I like that style of singing myself. Not knocking him at all. He is a very good song writer and composer of music. I just think there is so many people out there that are great at what they do its really hard to say any 1 person is the best
