Adderall Prescriptions

and battery acid, and kerosene and draino, and liquid plumber and hardcore flammable chemicals.....but yeah, basically the same thing, your right.

Wow, you have no clue what you are talking about. It's not like they break down the kerosene or battery acid or draino to get the constituent elements when making meth...which yes, happen to be in pharmaceuticals as well.

  • I'm not going into the ADHD thing because I have no knowledge of that.

I can say with certainty, that there are a few friends of mine that have had SERIOUS issues with dependancy on adderall. I've seen people spend a ton of money on that stuff because they are so fvcked up on it.

Take that FWIW. I've never taken them so I can only go by what I've seen.

That's the point a lot of us are taking in this thread. Just as being hooked on vicodin isn't any different then being hooked on heroin, being hooked on adderall isn't any different then being hooked on meth. The difference is they don't casually give vicodin to children and tell them to take it every day.

I remember asking my doctor how long I'd be taking prescription amphetemines, and the response was a confused "what do you mean? Why would you ever stop taking it?", implying "for the rest of your life".

Well I haven't read the whole thread and probably should but it seemed like some people were taking the fork in the road that said if you actually had a problem that it helped would make it less dependant. That is a big WTF.

You could have a serious accident and actually need oxycontin but after two months of taking them you are fvcked. Just because someone has a condition that the medicine actually helps with doesn't make it any less dependant. All adderall is would basically be a new form of speed. It's probably not as addicting if you don't snort it like some of my buddies do but there are others that were screwed on the stuff just by eating them.

I won't mess with the stuff. I'm also not trying to pass judgement because I have alcohol issues along with painkiller issues of my own. I'm just not going to be the guy that tells him that there aren't any consequences along with taking those things regularly.

There's just so much you don't know.

right....i'm hating myself for saying this, because i'm no better than anyone else.....but, i have a bachelor's in substance abuse counseling, 1 master's in substance abuse clinical counseling, and 1 masters in rehabilitation counseling. I work as an outpatient substance abuse counselor, and have been for the past 5 years. I know what i'm talking about man. Like i said, i'm not any better than you or anyone else in this thread, but i absolutely know what i am speaking of.

Crystal meth is obviously not FDA regulated and typically involves ingredients like Acetone, Alcohol, Ammonia, Battery acid, Benzene, Chloroform, Cold tablets (typically with Ephedrine in it--think about that Orioles pitcher), Drain cleaner (typically draino), Ether (starting fluid), Freon, Gasoline, Lithium (from batteries, not the medication used for psychosis). And there are so many more that could be talked about.

Adderall absolutely has addictive qualities. That is not in question at all. The active ingredients in legitimate ADHD medication (specifically adder all) are central nervous system stimulants with abuse potential, but they are no where near "crystal meth".....Throwing out a blanket statement like "it's basically crystal meth" is so far from the truth it's ridiculous.

  • I love the idiots that take it illegally to "help" them study. If you need adderall to get through school you might as well just drop out.

I know a guy that takes it because he like the way it makes him feel. Just so much stupidity out there.

I guess everyone who drinks alcohol is stupid, right? Because it makes them feel good.

Equating addiction potential with stupidity is stupid. The guy you know is no different than the guy who likes beer because it gets him drunk. Both substances are dangerously addictive...only one is much more accessible than the other.

d-Methamphetamine is FDA approved and available with a prescription, just like d-Amphetamine. Also, please learn chemistry and lay off of the DEA propaganda. It'll add some much needed perspective.

Yep. Used to be available as Desoxyn, but is really only used for narcolepsy now that safer alternatives are available.

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 18. They gave me a test that was basically this Simon Says video game that was about as unscientific as it could be. The medication helped me study/concentrate, but it would help anybody study/concentrate.

For the people who think ADHD is a real condition, I repeat the question of why does it only exist in the USA? Something in our water perhaps?

So much ignorance, so little knowledge.

  • I have 5 with me, I have no idea what size they are, and need to study to take a big test coming up. I'm planning on taking them tomorrow and Sunday while studying... Should I also take them while I test?

I can't get addicted only taking 2 or 3 right?

Is there anyway I can avoid not being able to sleep?

    Thanks

Last time I did that I made a 95 on a bio test over 3 chapters so I would go for it, don't worry bout getting addicted unless you let them become a habit outside of studying for a test. You won't want to eat much though.

Don't listen to anyone that tells you otherwise. Adderall is money. The most performance enhancing white-collar drug ever. And it isn't addictive.

I'm not going to deny that it does not enhance performance or even help you with certain issues you may have( ADD, ADHD). But to says its non- addictive is not correct. Its a Amphetamine (Stimulants) which are very addictive. So if your a person that suffers with addiction be careful that's all i will say.

Agree if you have the junkie gene. But it isn't really addictive. And I understand the pharmacology completely. That it's "relatively" non-addictive is actually one of it's selling points.

I also know because I've been abusing it periodically for the past year. It's awesome. I'm kicking myself right now for not keeping some in my desk drawer. Still in the office at 11:30 on a fri night... Would be perfect right now.
