  • He's a freak of nature. It always seems like the BIG time, major "freak" athletes come back from these major injuries a lot faster than a normal athlete.

  • My opinion would be natural. Guy was always a work out freak. It's in his DNA.

  • Didnt he do the whole hyperbaric chamber thing?

  • Natural. Some people are just built that way. He came back unbelievably strong from major injuries in college, it's not a complete surprise that he did it again.

Suggs came back from a torn achilles a couple months after and played 100% fine. These dudes are on something

The ones "built" to do that do seem to be a little more injury prone, though...

  • If we haven't figured out, to this point, that he can do things that no one else can...then we haven't been watching very closely. AD is perhaps the finest athlete of our generation, a true freak of nature. Anomalous outcomes should be expected.

    Stuck in Mexas

  • Who cares either way? As long as I am entertained by watching these players play football I don't care what they are on.

  • funny how AP has been doing what he's doing his whole career and just now getting the credit he deserves. Guy has always been the best in the league BY FAR. best back since Sanders and top 3 all time

Genetic freak of nature, and I think the rehab forced him to train like his rookie season. His explosive runs were down big time from his rookie season until this year.

    Barry Sanders
    Jim Brown
    Hershel Walker

    Who's he better than?

    TNoles813

  • Walter Payton and Barry Sanders are on a different level. Maybe AP gets there one day but he's got about ~8k more yards to gain. I wish him good luck, but realistically he's going to have to perform at a high level for the next 6 years and by that point he'll be 33 years old. RB's fall off significantly around 29 or 30. AP is 27 for those that don't know.

He's better that walker on that list. This is about pro careers, not college. Try Walter Payton.

  • AD is incredibly underrated is all I have to say. I was always lulzing so hard when people were talking about CJ, Foster, or Rice being better than AD and he is finally putting those fools to shame. Always has been the best back in the league since he was a rookie, the Vikings are just finally giving him the touches he deserves.

AD isn't on anything, he's just a freak. He's on a different playing field than anyone else, he sure as hell not on roids though.

Also comparing Suggs coming back from a torn achilles, and AD coming back from an ACL tear is ridiculous. AD got injured before Suggs, and had a injury that typically takes less time to heal. Not comparable, maybe Suggs is on the HGH or roids, but no chance AD is.

You don't think there's a chance that a guy like Peterson would be on roids? Oh man... people are so naive.

The sooner we all realize that 99% of the NFL is juiced up, the sooner we can just enjoy the sport for what it is. You put Peterson in a baseball jersey and suddenly everyone would think he's juiced.

  • Real talk, I'm about 95% thinking he's being doing a prohormone or PED since he got in the NFL as he has that "hard" look that I've only ever seen on PED guys.

See attached pics where he looks natural (top left corner of 2nd pic) and the other pics scream PED/prohormone. No matter how much you train nor how clean you eat you don't get this "hard" look. Bo Jackson and Herschel Walker were swole/muscular but didn't have that "PED/hard" look.

I remember in 2008 I bought a "supplement" that I was told was 100% natural/legal from a local supplement store. I'd powerlifted and done fitness related modeling in previous years and had used creatine and ephedrine in getting down to 5.5% bodyfat prior to 2008. This supplement cut me up and had me on "swole" with the "PED" look and about 2-3 weeks after I started using it my libido was gone. About 4 weeks later the product was pulled from the market because it had illegal ingredients. That supplement gave me that "hard" unachievable natural look like Peterson has in some of the pics. I've never seen a natural guy with the look regardless of how lean or muscular they are.

I have an extensive background dealing with power lifters and track athletes (clean and PED users) and I know that look.

Is it possible that some of that "hard" look in the fitness magazines is photoshopped in?
