The Vols have received word only a number of conspiracy theorists believe isnt true that Gruden is most likely signing with the Eagles. Many think that Strong is re-signing. Golden is apparently #3 for them and then they may go after Butch Jones of Cincinnati. Of course rumors are flying because the yocals are going nuts.
They either dont want to miss if they should or think Golden is elite because apparently its going to be an offer above 3/yr (like 3.2)

To my knowledge he is happy as ever, is on the cusp of seeing his team come full circle and now would be the dumbest time ever to leave
Especially for the terrible jobs that are available right now
Neither Tennessee or Auburn compare to FSU to me, and him either for FSU is his dream job
Those 2 schools have some positives, but not enough to quit on FSU right when they have reached a level of talent you need to start winning championships ( conference and soon national..... hopefully )
FSU has also broke ground on a new indoor facility, something that was built per his request...... so these rumors of him being unhappy seem unjust as the school is clearly doing what it can it terms of the things he has been asking for
Stoops leaving was going to happen eventually, most knew that..... I don't see how its some meltdown of Jimbo's staff, and Im sure he fills the voids with capable people
Hell Im more excited for a new DC than another year of Stoops, and FSU's defensive talent pool is very deep at the moment.... should be attractive in terms of luring a new coach

Anybody who has ever followed Tampa football will tell you Gruden either could not or refused to develop young talent and preferred to go out and sign vets. Can't do that in CFB. I think Gruden would fail trying to coach college football and he knows it so he won't.

I think he could definitely recruit the talent. His name alone would be enough to get some good skill position players to come in on this class. If he couldn't hire a staff to make up for his inefficiencies in the college game, then I would have a hard time understanding how he managed to win a Super Bowl, regardless of the players.

Al Golden to Tennessee is heating up in Knoxville....
