To be fair to Chris jones rivals hasn't even seen him yet. He didn't even have any video to go off of since he didn't play much football till this year. Rivals will get to see him this week and let them evaluate them then before saying what he is ranked elsewhere and who else offered. Fact is Jones is an elite talent that no one had ever heard of till this year. Most other schools had their targets before this recruiting season began. No one is arguing that Conner isn't good but Chris jones was the single most dominant player on defense in Ms this year. If jones would have been at SP for the past few years everyone would know who he was.

Jones is highly rated by this site but not by other sites. He is 3 star in Rivals. Nonetheless he looks to be a good player who had a good year. Conner is the real deal and is a superstar, who btw will be a Rebel.

A four-star by ESPN, too. He's an Under Armour All-American. The kid is legit, and he did work without a bunch of talent around him, like Conner had at SP.

I think Conner will end up in Tuscaloosa. And I must note, South Panola's coaches have the easiest job in the state. That team reloads with the top talent year in and year out. I saw them play once on TC and twice in person this year and could tell they had elite athletes in every game. Coaching? Average at best.

Ken you are right , I am a State fan and have been one a long long time. I know a lot about the SP program , like you said my opinion , but I would say Deshea Townsend is the best to come through SP
