  • Echols-Luper is one of those guys that will be a very, very solid college player, maybe a whole lot better than we think.

Yeh he's good. I wish we would have had room for him, but the old staff was higher on Jason Smith as the slot WR. I'm pretty sure we would have lost Luper anyways after canning his pops

Having just watched Mississippi practice, their OL will have issues with Alabama's front seven IMO

  • It looks like Ard. Stewart is gonna be the next "star" DB, not talkin about superstar or rock star, true Bama fans kno what im talkin about. That was one of our down falls was our star DB this year, Vinnie done a great job but he got beat a few times in man cov. Saban acknowledge it in a press con one day, not puttin down Vinnei by nomeans jus pointin out that he was tryin to do somethin he was never ment to do but still done a pretty good job, Geno Smith has been comin around but i think he becomes more of a true corner. The star position is a very critical spot in Nick Sabans D, Lets hope we get a true star DB soon.

Very solid player for sure, agree. Physically, about reached his ceiling as expected, so what you see is what you get and he's very solid all-around.

Wonder how d Johnson would have faired if he hasn't started taping girls

Dude is fast as lightning and compares favorably to smith IMO on the field

Agree on his speed/quicks. Dude would compare favorably with any on the Alabama team for sure.

The only guy that is just straight up fast (straight line) on another level in this game is Kailo Moore (10.5 guy).

  • I can't wait for Ardarius Stewart to get on campus. The kid id a stud athlete and will be will be a star on either side of the ball. I hope he plays defense though, personally.

I have very little doubt he ends up on defense after today - for what it's worth with the note my coaching record is 0-0.

You guys need to get Echols-Luper and Kailo Moore in a foot race.

Jabrill Peppers...More I watch, the more I'm convinced he is the best player in the 2014 class. Barring injury, he will do special things.

I don't think having room had anything to do with it. Luper wanted to play in Texas close to his family. An AU offer would have probably made him think, but he would have chosen A&M regardless.

Figured Stewart would be on offense. He probably has the hips to play corner though

He'll be one of the top *athletes* in the Saban era to play corner if he does end up there and according to Gerry it sounds like he will. Milliner & Javy would be the others at the top as far as athleticism goes. I've said this before even in recent days, but I think he could be special under CNS/Pruitt.

Corner or safety, I think he's ends up at defensive back.
