To all those saying we have "nothing better to do" in Alabama, what did you actually do last Saturday that was so awesome? I personally skipped the game to go to the pool with some friends

    Ditto.

And people fat and poor and life boring. Congrats for winning the natty though y'all people needed it more than we did. We had 10 major events in the last 3 months to help ease our pain, love this place

Please. You are from freaking Louisiana. How many shows are there dedicated to your backwoods country bumpkin residents right now? You are the worst poster on this board by a long shot.

Ok then. I have friends who went to the beach last weekend. Gulf Shores, ALABAMA. Most states don't have that luxury in early April because it's either too cold where they live or they simply don't have beaches in their states (or their beaches suck compared to the white, sandy beaches of the Gulf). Other than the beach, lake, or pool (things AL has plenty of), I don't know what someone could be doing on a Saturday afternoon that is so awesome. Unless it's skydiving (done that here), or going to a casino (couple hour drive away, almost went last weekend actually).

The rest of you, please enlighten me on what you were doing. Chances are I've been to your states and must have missed these mysterious, badass Saturday afternoon activities.

think the official number was around 78,5

Which is wrong. If everybody in that stadium was put into just the lower bowl they might have filled it to capacity which would have been 66,000.

Nothing wrong with it at all. There is not much I enjoy more than tailgating. I just find it odd that a spring game has 75,000 people at it.

There's really no fanbase with the passion for football like the University of Alabama so there's no reason for you to find it normal. Most don't.

That's impressive. I can respect that about OSU.

That said, we are splitting a population of about 4.8 million in Alabama between Bama and Auburn fans. OSU is the only major program in a state of about 11.5 million. Per capita, Bama fans pack games/Spring games like no other. Nebraska only has about 1.8 million people but again, they're the only program in the state but they do a great job as well.

Either way, there must not be too much to do up there in Ohio if that many of y'all are going to a practice. That's gotta suck...

I personally skipped the game to go to the pool with some friends but I just don't know what you "others" could be doing at 2pm on a Saturday that is sooo much better than going to a Spring game. Considering how much time some of you spend on this board (especially Scooter, God bless him), it's kind of ironic. You spend hours upon hours talking about football on here, even on the weekends...

Well fist I woke up at 9, friends came over for 10, we left my house went to daquries, then drove 10 mins up the road and spent the rest of the day walking around the French quarter for French quarter fest listening to free bands and drinking all day. Then we went to bourbon, hit up a few clubs, then came back down to chalmette and went to another bar and listened to my friends band, and returned home around 2:30. Sounds like a pretty badass day to me

We have so many shows because we are just that great and it's hard to say I'm the worst poster when I won poster of the year in January.

There's plenty to do. We are just very loyal fans and are extremely crazy about football at all levels. Ohio is ranked 4th in high school recruiting only behind Texas, Cali, and Florida though georgia is neck and neck with us. WE start our kids in midget football at 7 years old.

I do agree about you splitting fans and i was not saying that your attendance is not impressive it is! I was just stating that you are not the only fan base that is passionate about their football.

I would have to say that outside of OSU my favorite fan bases to converse with would be Bama, Texas, Nebraska, and USC. Theses fan bases seem to be the most knowledgable about the sport. Not just their team.

There are other good fan bases but these are the best of the best. There are some really bad 1's as well. not going to mention any names p3u. exscuse me!!!! sneezed there.
