  • The success if Auburn and Alabama recently has WAY LESS to do with the talent coming out of the state than it has to do with their ability to recruit. Neither school would sniff the top if it wasn't for the talent produced in Louisiana, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi. Don't brag on your state football talent when you have so little. If you are an alumni of one of theses school's then you have something to boast about. If you just live in Alabama and think the universities success's is an indication of the talent level there, you'd be mistaken.

Out of the 4 MVP trophies given out at the BCSCG the last 2 years (Defensive and Offensive), 3 of them belong to Alabama residents.

    Just saying.

Out of the 6 Alabama has won, 4 were Alabama residents (Dareus, McCarron, Upshaw, and Mosley), with only 2 going to out of state players (Ingram and Lacy).

Google "number of players in the nfl per capita". The point was made about the talent level of football in Alabama. The assumption was that the best players come out of there. Wrong. So a few won MVP awards? Kids who come through our high school system exceed in the nfl like no other. Regardless of where they attend college.

I think you've missed the point of the entire thread. It was that the schools in Alabama have dominated the BCSCG the last 4 years. Either way though, there are more former players from Alabama high schools the last 4 years with rings than any other state if that's the way you want to take it.
