  • I think Ole Miss was the more phisical team out of the two. Miss State deffinatly has the better QB. I say Ole Miss 20-17

  • Comparative analysis for this one is tough. Bama played their worst game of the year against Ole Miss and came ready to play against Miss St.

    I think Miss St has the better defense and quarterback, so I'd give them the slight edge.

  • Moo State was better against Auburn. They dominated the game and should have beaten Auburn worse. Ole Miss was basically an even game until you got the fluke touchdown by the Scott kid.

    Unlike hubcitytider, I agree with aubie25. That game was only a 21pt loss on paper - it was by no means a blowout on the field. Ole Miss has seemed a little better to me, and they were much more frustrating to me than MSU. However, we kicked tons of FGs against Ole Miss, whereas we converted TDs against MSU. If you really look at it, we had a chance to score nearly 50 against Ole Miss, but we had no blown opportunities against MSU, so I think the score differences are misleading.

    Russell is a better QB, but Ole Miss is very scrappy and energetic. I think it will be a great game and will have a lot of meaning, because it will determine who goes to the better bowl most likely. At this moment, I think Ole Miss is a little better, and I think the home team will win (not sure who it is).

  • Ole Miss definitely gave a better effort against Bama. Maybe 'effort' is a bad choice of words. State moved the ball similarly to OM, but didn't capitalize until the end vs about 9 freshmen. So....OM played Bama better, but I think MSU is the better overall team. QB impressed me last night. Took some big hits and kept delivering. I'd call MSU in the egg bowl, but I think I might actually watch it for the first time in ages this year, assuming it doesn't interfere w/ my game. I think it's gonna be a good game.

  • I was at both Bama games. In my opinion we played far better last night than we did v. Ole Miss. I think MSU is better overall and will make fewer mistakes in the Egg Bowl. I like State by 10.

  • It's hard to say. Alabama played Ole Miss in a monsoon. I like Miss St I that game right now.

  • Miss St has way more talent than Ole Miss at this point. State didnt match up well against Alabama. Ole Miss was a surprise type offense. I dont think our coaching staff had very much film so we didnt know what to expect. I think State wins pretty easily simply because of their defense and ability to run downhill.

    Yep, because 55, 60, or 65 yards for Ole Miss came on the fluke play by the Scott kid. Auburn's defense pretty much quit after that play. If I remember correctly, we didnt even complete a pass against Moo State until the 4th quarter

    Frazier didn't play against Ole Miss... it could've gotten alot worse for Auburn in the passing game
