I his pictures he also looks like he hasn't been in the best strength and conditioning program. Even with the low competition he looked like a agile big back

Anzalone's diet is unbelievable. I can't believe that any human eats as much as he does on a daily basis. That's probably why he looks so chubby. But he still moves pretty well with all that weight, it's just crazy how much he's put on in a year.

Definitely not out of shape, but his diet is crazy:
"Like it always does, the alarm goes off at 4:30 a.m., and a half asleep Alex Anzalone meets his mother in the kitchen for breakfast.

Six eggs, two cups of oatmeal, some pineapple, water and a couple vitamins later, Anzalone is back under the covers for a couple more hours until the dreaded alarm wakes him at 7 a.m. for school.

It’s not easy transforming from a 6-foot-3, 165-pound sophomore defensive back to a year later, a 232-pound Top-100 linebacker, but the Reading (Pa.) Wyomissing Area standout has embraced the challenge with unwavering dedication and drive.

“I knew I wanted to play Division-I football and I wanted to commit to something, and I knew I had to get bigger stronger and faster at everything,” Anzalone said.

When Anzalone wakes up a second time, he grabs a protein shake on his way out the door for school. At 9 a.m., he gobbles down a protein bar. At lunch, he eats a packed lunch consisting of 10 ounces of chicken with sweet potatoes and apples. At 3 p.m., Anzalone hustles home to throw down six more ounces of chicken with some pineapple, before heading over to get a rigorous workout in with Schaeffer. After he’s done lifting and running, it’s time for a quick protein bar. Anzalone gets home around 6 p.m. to suck down 12 ounces of salmon, a cup and a half of rice and two cups of vegetables, typically broccoli. At 9 p.m., Anzalone has a protein shake or more chicken, and at 11 p.m. it’s time to eat four more eggs right before bed."

Sounds like a nice menu but not sure I could do the eggs right before bed. pukeface

He Definately is not out of shape but I was referring to watching him at the open. He just didn't look like he had as much muscle as a lot of the prospects there. I think he has plenty of room to add muscle is all I was saying. I think he's gonna do good at whatever position he plays but it would be cool to see him playing running back

Well I definitely trust you over dozens of coaches who are payed millions of dollars to do their job. Yep. You changed my mind. Call ND and tell them the news so they can cut their losses before its to late...

    lol

Look, I understand why he is rated so high and why coaches (including PSU's) wanted him. He is big, fast and agile. He is a hard worker and a great student. I get it. But I have seen this before many times. Physical specimen that everyone drools over sucks on the field because he is an athlete and not a LB. We will just have to wait and see on this one. If I am wrong, I have no problem eating crow.

Sorry I hurt your feelings. no

Those coaches have never messed up whenever it comes to recruiting a player?
