Also, here's my quick ranking of BCS winning QBs who were also Heisman finalists at one time or another:
    1. Cam Newton
    2. Tim Tebow
    3. Matt Leinart
    4. Ken Dorsey
    5. Chris Weinke
    6. Vince Young
    7. Josh Huepel

Sorry for having VY rated so low, but he just wasn't that good of a passer. His escapability significantly improved his passing stats. Yes, I understand that that is part of being a QB in many college offenses, but he just never impressed me quite like the others ahead of him did. twocents

Move Vince to 2, move everybody else down, and flip Weinke and Dorsey.

Cam was the most dominant player I can remember in the most dominant defensive conference... ever.

    VY can't say that.

I am a huge Bama fan and can agree Cam is probably the best college football player I have seen. It pains me to say it, but he was so dominate that he demanded complete attention by the D at all times allowing for players of less skill to look like all Americans.

Julio over Price for me. But it's not by much.

    Not in 2009, IMO.

I'd go Mike Williams at USC over Price.

How can you put Clarett over Reggie Bush?

I left the 2004 USC team off because they are not recognized as the BCS Champions anymore. Nothing against the players or a shot at USC, but it was the decision I made.

Also, I am not sure Bush in 2004 would have been over Clarret. If USC was the 2005 BCS Champions, then yes, Bush would be in there.

    good list,

i personally would swap vince young for cam....both are amazing, but what vy did against usc (an awesome defense btw) was unforgettable...

i would also consider mike doss, safety for osu...all american and gave up probable 1st rd pick to come back and win a title...

Cam Newton is the MOST Valuable Player in the HISTORY of College Football. Didn't say the BEST.....but MOST Valuable.

Take Cam Newton off 2010 Auburn and they'd be 6-6 at best.

Newton and Fairley were the ONLY early Round Draft picks on that Auburn Team. Texas had a plethora of early round picks......and Cam played in a much better conference.

I'd also take Ingram (dude was NASTY in 2009 prior to his meniscus injury in 2010 ) over Richardson and Upshaw over Hightower as well.

Saw Charlie Ward play in person the 1st game of my freshmen year in college.......Dude was like Merlin "The Magician" on the football field. Silky Smooth performer.

Ward was 1 of the top 5 QBs IMO in college football over the past 25 years. Legit BALLA Status!

He was FILTHY in 1993 but that was pre- BCS era!
