Cam, only did it one year. Tebow is better than Cam

There is literally nothing Tebow does (or did) on a football field better than Cam Newton.

Yes, Tebow had a longer college football career.

No, none of his years as a starter come close to Cam's single year as a starter.

    I'm about 90% sure it was 4-3.

in college thomas played in a 3-4.

i was a classmate of his.

    every list must have:

    hugh green at pitt
    lawrence taylor unc.
john hannah and dwight stephenson on the o line. and munoz
    hershell and bo at rb.
    reggie white on d line.
    ray guy punter

I know I'm throwing another Bama guy out there, but Chris Samuels should get strong consideration at offensive tackle. He started all four years at Alabama and never gave up a sack. He capped that off by also giving up no QB pressures his senior year.

Glad to see Jerry Rice on that list as well.

Jake Long never gave up a sack either, and he only allowed one penalty his whole career at UM. I still put Boselli over him. LT has had some GREAT players over the years, and you can make cases for a lot of them.

with the tackles he has, i don't think samuels would be able to unseat them, but he was a beast.

dwight stephenson at c should be considered. AA at bama, all-sec, coach bryant called him the best player he ever coached, regardless of position. many consider him the best center all time. 5x pro bowl, 5x all-pro, nfl hof.

cornelious bennett at lb should be considered. 3x AA (all 1st team), 3x all sec, SEC DPOY, lombardi winner, heisman finalist, cfb HOF, 5x pro bowl, 3x all pro, 2x afc DPOY, soon to be nfl hof

and finally, if your going by just talent, then this one is a no, but if your going for importance to the game and stats, then maybe.

don hutson - AA, cfb HOF, 2x nfl MVP, nfl HOF, green bay HOF, held 18 nfl records at end of career, most for decades including career rec tds and season rec tds for 40+ years, some still stand, credited with creating the modern wr position and routes, lean nfl in receptions for 8/11 seasons, including 5 straight, lead nfl in rec yards 7 seasons, including 4 straight, and lead nfl in scoring 5 straight seasons. also played both ways, and lead nfl in interceptions a couple times. #9 player of all time by nfl.com, nfl all-time team (75th anny).

nice list, i've been skimming and it's past my bed time.

someone mentioned no ronnie lott. he was a beast, throw in steve atwater from arkansas as well.
johnny rodgers for pr over the rocket.
pretty much have to keep the list post 1960 as well.
both woodsons in the secondary were beasts.

Ronnie Lott was a safety in college, right? Either way, safety or CB, I like my choices.

I think one of the WR's should be Larry Fitzgerald

I would take Emmit Smith over Hershel but there's a number of RB's you could put there.

You don't have a tight end listed.

You have got to be kidding about Emitt over Walker?I am a die hard Cowboy fan and Emitt is my favorite Cowboy ever. But he couldn't be a pimple on Hershel's ass in college.Hershell was unstoppable at Georgia. You must be like 20 or something.

Ryan Broyles seriously still needs to be off the list. It looks good though Rabid

Who is the other slot WR you would have then? I know you like Warrick, but who would be your SWR backup on this list?

  • So THE only guy with 2 heismans does't get first or second team?...lol

I can understand if we're talking about college stats/nfl potential, but no way Archie should not be first team if we're talking about strictly their college careers.

You're either bias or crazy (probably both) if you think Archie should be chosen over Herschel or Barry.

I guess hesiman voters are crazy tooshrug.

But, like i said, before i make a true judgment, are these strictly based on entire college careers?....one season?.....2 seasons?....or college careers and NFL greatness/potential?

Yes, this list took no consideration from what they did in their NFL careers. I thought that was obvious from who I have as my QB. (And a lot of other positions, fwiw.) SMH...

And yeah... You're definitely delusional. Archie is NOT on Herschel or Barry's level.

So if you go by college careers, and THE only 2 time heisman (aka best player in the country) winner is not even in the 2 deep.....that means i'm delusional? Good stuff.

Don't deny at all that Herschel and Barry were more talented, but college career wise they weren't.

It seems like I'm taking a lot of heat for Broyles.. Fine, I'll change that.

Barry was not better than Herschel in college, though.
