  • Basically 275-280 or so votes are lean Obama, 205-210 are lean Romney, and about 50 are tossups. Even if Romney wins all the toss up states, he will still be behind Obama.

  • Here's my problem with American politics: I don't understand the point of voting anymore. Whenever I tell someone I'm not going to vote, I always hear: "You have to vote! Not voting is unAmerican! VOTE!!!" But why? What's the point? Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans have the best interests of this country in mind, not anymore. Bipartisan politics has become nothing more than big business at the expense of the rest of us, the American people. Sure, I could vote for a third party, but really, why bother? No one from a third party is going to win an election in this country unless we see a MAJOR shift in political perception, and that's not going to happen anytime soon. But then someone tells me, "Well, just vote for the lesser of the two evils! But you HAVE to VOTE!!!" The lesser of two evils? Really? Am I the only one that thinks that phrase shouldn't be anywhere near the decision of who will run this country? That's a scary thought.

    What's the real issue? Is it the "principle" of the thing? Bullsh!t. There aren't enough principles left in big politics for me to give a rats ass. When a company starts putting out sh!tty products, what do you do? One of two things: You either start buying from their (usually cheaper) competitors or you vote with your wallet and stop buying their stuff. Well, barring some massive shift in American ideals, third party competitors are not a viable option; too many uninformed Americans just straight-ticket voting. So, I'd like to vote with my wallet. Obama? Nope. Romney? Nope. I abstain.
