    Agreed. That's why this whole "big ten can't compete" thing is BS. With an SEC payroll, a B1G team can win it all. That OSU team is eternal proof.

  • To be honest, bowl games might have been in the north if their sole purpose at the beginning was to be a trip AWAY from the cold.

    Now for regular season games, I'm not going to make excuses for teams not named Alabama.

    By the way, games in October and November can be pretty damn cold in Tuscaloosa. Not 5 degrees and 12" of snow, but it isn't 72 and breezy either.

    Well now they're played for the benefit of money and ours is as good as anyone else's.

    They could easily be played in domes if the weather is an actual concern.

  • Anyone who honestly thinks an undefeated Ohio State team, who would likely be 25-0 and having never lost a game in 2 seasons at that point, would be passed over in favor of another school for the BCS Championship game needs to have their head examined. Especially when you consider that the Buckeyes will likely be preseason top 5 in 2013. If not for the bowl ban Ohio State would be playing Notre Dame in the BCS Championship Game THIS season.

  • i'm still trying to find out how the SEC teams can take as many recruits as they want.. Texas A&M has like 36-38 recruits right now.. can't remember off the top of my head.. how does that work?

    it's a tad bit rougher than 5th grade math but you can google the 25/85 rule. then perhaps one day you'll realize for yourself that the term oversigning
    is a bigger myth than the lochness monster.. shrug
