Angriest fans..

  • Which school has them?

    I see Auburn is usually pretty pissed, but the Beibs' just won a NC so that's understandable (HowardRoark is probably researching a way to create a man-made F-5)
    Agy is a hot head as well, maybe a Napoleon complex (Unreasonable hate for RG3)
    Michigan is always complaining about something.

    Were bitter. We might take the cake here, we always kamikaze threads.

    Our fanbase is actually really friendly to other fanbases the majority of the time. Some of us just get irritated with the constant A&M hate from other fans.

    In living in Waco for almost a year now, as a rule I have noticed that Texas fans are arrogant, A&M fans are paranoid and hostile, and Baylor fans have a false sense of superiority. I think maybe it was just the year I've been here, with the Heisman for Baylor and the SEC move and all that entailed. We'll see how things change as I'm here for a couple more years.

    You say Auburn angriest fans. I disagree, i think we are just passionate about defending our school/team. In fact, I'm an AU fan and quite happy as most of us are with the past,present & future of Auburn.

    Actually if you read BOL or Bodda Getta there is some crazy hate going on in both.

    I love Bama as much as anyone (yes, I am a side walking, t-shirt wearing, Wal-Mart proud non-alumni fan) but it gets really bizarre on both of those sites at times. The fantasy conspiracy theories, the paranoid anger and the pure vile is amazing.

    The writers actually do a great job, usually (in spite of what I've seen posted here often) but the threads can be mind numbing.

    That's why I spend so much time over here working to traumatize LSU fans... you can take the man off BOL but you can't get the BOL... lol.

    teams like auburn, tamu, ucla...etc..classic red headed stepchild, the world is against us syndrome...google this group...'the never to yield foundation'...that's all you need to know about albarn.
    albarn isn't bad, but they're just the red sox compared to Bama being the yankees...and calling them the red sox is being generous to a program with a losing overall record to vanderbilt.

    tamu and aub fans are very similar...having lived near both for periods in my life...tamu has more weird little cultish practices. both schools 'try' to portray a 'whitebread' 'milk toast' image.
    both fan bases claim high moral ground and every auburn fan is a christian and auburn is a christian school. not sure about tamu...but if you're not an aub alum you're a second class citizen as an aub fan.

  • I think it comes down to the individual and not any certain fanbase, but that's rational thought that doesn't always work on a message board. Auburn fans in the most part seem like reasonable people to me. I am sure they were not thrilled that Alabama won the BCS title following their BCS title, somewhat taking away some bragging rights, but there were Bama fans that weren't thrilled when the same thing happened the year before either. I wouldn't call that being angry, I would just call that being a rival.

    If I had to go with a fanbase, I would say UGA, personally, but that has as much to do with Atlanta being a huge meltingpot with tons of Alabama, Auburn, Florida, USCe, and Tennessee fans pointing out every flaw in the Mark Richt regime.

    I think you might be looking for the most insecure fanbase, which on the message boards I have been on, seems to be aTm fans by a mile.
