Was hoping the Pistons would continue to blow games so they could pair him up with Monroe. Now all of a sudden the Pistons grow some backbone and ruin their chances of the #1 pick. Currently all the way up to #7 I think.

I wasn't seeing the offensive repertoire from him in the first third of the season. All his points were dunks and tap ins. But he's progressed and will have a legit 3 point shot in 2-3 years as well.
I see him being an 18, 10, 4, 3, 2 kinda guy in the NBA. Not a superstar but an all star and big time player.

cousins can dominate down in the low post though. when he wants to, nobody can stop him and I don't think davis has that kind of ability. Although the "when he wants to" is his major problem, which davis doesn't have.

I agree 100% with this post. Pairing him with Monroe....and having B.Knight at the point. That's a helluva young nucleus to restart something here in Detroit. Gonna need a lottery win to pull it off tho. & with every win the Pistons get...thats less balls in the bucket to get picked.
That's how it works tho. Can't expect pro ballers to tank a season, to get a better pick in the following years draft.

Because there is none.Anthony Davis is a classic tweener.He does not have a position imo.That's not exactly a good thing either.The only thing he does great is block shots.I would not waste the number one pick on a dude with no defined position that's frail as fuck.

Seriously? How long have you been watching the NBA? Not trying to be a d*** but no one plays D anymore, atleast not like they did in the day. Part of that is the NBA's fault for changing the rules. A lot of it is the showboat mentality.

I have been watching the NBA since the early 90's, and have seen the athletes who come into the NBA evolve over the years.

You also had the best collection of offensive players ever during that time. Everything now is iso, there is no team defense.
