It's still a bit weak when it comes to the amount of the fines. It would have served them better if they provided those fines along with a technical foul once a flop was called or at least made the fines a bit heftier. At least they addressed it though.

I like it. It's probably a rule that will only last about 4-5 seasons once it's made it's mark. But I give props to Stern for at least attempting to stop this crap. Pau Gasol is about to go broke.

Poor Anderson Varejao. He's gonna have to go back to Brazil while poor ol' Ginobli will have to play in Europe somewhere to be able to afford to play basketball (if flopping extends to overreacting to barely being touched on fouls. His acting in the Spain v USA game made me want to find him and cut out his achilles).

They have already tried stuff like that, and it has not worked so they are going to hit them where it hurts which is their pockets.
