Hard to say by this pic but it looks like "Cherry Eye". It is prolapse of the gland of the third eyelid. It is now recommended to tack it back down surgically, although it has been surgically removed for years do to the fact that it may make them more likely for "dry eye". Probably run you between $2-300 for bloodwork/anesthesia/surgery.

Alot of painkillers arent. Pretty sure you cant give dogs advil. Vets have recommended benadryl for my dogs in the past though.

Looks like Cherry Eye to me. My bulldog had to have surgery in both eyes due to Cherry eye, very common. Good looking dog, he will be fine but the wallet will take a hit.

The painkillers are still the same medicine though. Ibuprofen for dogs is same as human ibuprofen. Give a dog buffered aspirin for pain though.

Dogs usually get Ibuprofen and its the exact same ibuprofen people take. Ibuprofen is Advil but I'm sure you know that.

Edit: I mean aspirin. You can give your dog buffeted aspirin. Advil can cause stomach problems

My parents have a shi tzu and he gets cherry eye sometimes. The vet told my parents just to rub his eye softly and it will go away. It seems to work
