Anyone Know Their Way Around San Diego?

  • I'm leaving for San Diego on Thursday. My friend is getting married and i've never been out there. Is anyone from the area, or know the area well enough to help me out? Ill be staying in the gas lamp district and have all of Friday/Saturday to kill. I've here its a historical city... [insert anchor man joke]

Any suggestions? Good Food / Music / Beer / Historical things i should go see?

  • i live close to san diego and go there every once in a while..

Gaslamp is fun but just keep a good eye out... you have a lot of options on where to eat/drink/party. Some places are outrageously pricey for no reasons while others are perfectly reasonable. I was charged 24 bucks for two margaritas during "half off" happy hour. The waitress asked if we wanted double and then proceeded to double us up on patron @ 12 bucks a shot times 2 shots a marg.... we were not happy

I would recommend Whiskey Girl to eat at and watch sports... great sports bar and seems to get packed at night. they also have some of the best fries i have had (beer battered).

Eh I have found the one downtown to be easier. All depends on when you go.
