Manti Te'o had a heartwarming story that propelled him and his team to awards and honors....except that it was all made up and the school tried to cover it up
UNC is a prestigious university that holds it athletes to higher standards than other schools....except for the fact that they had practically and entire program set up to pass athletes along
Joe Paterno was an example of the perfect coach/leader of men...except for the fact that he and high level admins knew about child rape and did nothing to stop it.
All these schools are hypocrites of the highest order. They can say what they want about the SEC but none of our schools ever tried to pull any stunts like these.

btw, I don't think the OP's point was that no one else is doing anything wrong, i think what he means is you guys are all this "we are the best, most upstanding, high society, better than you guys" schools, but yet, the crimes your schools are engaged in are a bit more serious than paying some coach off, or "textbook gate" at Bama where student athletes were getting books on scholly and selling them for cash (dropping the classes) - yea, major crime right.
i think that was the point. no one is saying SEC is clean - at least i'm not. but this crap isn't happening either (ha, at least not right now). but we've never stated we were better than your schools, well, except in football - which we are.

Isn't it a great concept! As if all the SEC coaches were pulling for all the other SEC teams to get away with cheating so they can get the best recruits......b/c that would make sense. Why wouldn't Spurrier want Muschamp and Richt to be able to cheat unchecked?
