Yes, if prepared right, gator is pretty good. Kind of taste like chicken, imo.

yea we have maybe 2 restaurants in the area that serve gator and I think they both just have "fried gator bites" I will definitely be trying it when I take a trip to the south. Need to try frog legs too I guess, even though that first bite will be really hard for me.

Been a couple of years, but I remember frog legs being greasy like duck meat.

They're alright, but nothing I would seek out to have unless I was giggin'/cooking them myself.

Not greasy at all unless you didn't put them on paper towels after taking them out of the grease

Went gigging often with my dad when I was young but haven't been in a long time. My uncle used to go and he'd bring a bottle of Jack and a 22... after awhile he would want to quit gigging and start shooting the frogs.. he's shoot them and reflexively they'd jump and most of the time you couldn't find them afterwards. I'd laugh my azz off at the fights him and my dad would get into over that...
