Are straight people born straight?

    That's the great thing about not needing any reason to back up faith. You can come up with crazy stuff like this all you want without having to back any of it up. If you can get anyone else interested in it, you can go found your own new sect among the many thousands that are already out there.

    Like I said I find religions interesting, I have studied Buddha,Hindu, Muslim, Judaism,Christianism, and Christianity, personally, I am a very bad man just trying to find a way to be good. Nuts trying to be normal, a searcher if you will.... I know what I have done in life and know what I am capable off if I didn't think there were consequences. The consequences or the thought of them keep me in check. If I didn't think there were consequences I would be a headline in some newspaper cause I really ain't a fan of .....well.... people.

    Actually I don't hate anyone or judge anyone. I just don't place a lot of value on life, including my own, maybe it was the military but I figure if there is a God that loves everyone and if I have to answer to that God for hurting one of his then that gives me a reason to not judge or hurt another person, not for the present but for the afterlife. it is not the present that I fear but the unknown... if that makes sense. BTW... to the OP. I think everyone is born straight but life's circumstances that make one gay/lesbian, I have gay friends and most of them were sexually abused as children. I have lesbian friends that were most abuse as children or by a male.

    There's no doubt I am. At least I think so because I dont feel remorse, sadness, happiness, etc. Maybe that's something else. I don't know.

    No, I believe that if you do the ABC's(Not to sound childish) then you are good to go.

    However, if one says they are gay(For the sake of the thread) and also says they are a Christian, then I would advise them to go talk to a preacher and have a self examination time because that is impossible.

    What about hermaphrodites?

    is it fair to say that you can sin and continue to live in sin and still be saved ? if you cant get to heaven by works but by only the Grace of God then conversly there should be no sin / sins ( works ) that you commit that would lead you to hell . We are all sinners according to the bible and salvation is gained only by the Grace of God

    That is where some differ. As a southern baptist I have always been told that once saved, you are good to go for lack of a better term.

    I disagreed with it once, I stated to my mom. What if someone was a Christian and converted to satanism, would they go to heaven? Surely not i said. She being older and a little more wise(lol) said that if they were a true Christian they would never convert to those evil ways.

    So that kinda reinforces that a little bit to me.

    I'm certainly not depressed. I just don't experience happiness or sadness at any level. Both my mother and stepfather passed away last year, within months and still, nothing. Just had. I feeling what so ever in the matter and I had a decent enough relationship with both of them. It's hard to describe. The only thing that keeps me from thinking I'm 100% psychotic is the fact that I don't necessarily feel thrilled when others have pain.

    I too am southern baptist. Once saved always saved. I do believe that. ALTHOUGH too many people use that as a crutch in order to do what they want. If a person is genuinely saved, he might fall into sin but they will repent & get it straight. Someone who had an emotional experience "got saved" & goes right back to doing what they want when they want probably didn't get saved after all.

    That is about the same way that I am lol
