I detest Shannon with a passion because the mf runned Miami to the ground and Al Golden is cleaning his mess up so I wish him nothing but bad luck.
I got nothing against Arkansas.

I wouldn't say we won't bc of George McDonald and Charlie Partridge but I think Shannon will recruit Texas and the DFW area with Joel Thomas.
Serious question guys
Shannon as LB coach
George McDonald as WR Coach
Sam Pittman as OL coach
Joel Thomas as RB coach
Charlie Partridge as DL
All of those are top 10 coaches at their positions in a lot of people's minds. What do you guys think about the staff we have hired at Arkansas through in Chris Ash as DC, Jim Chenay as OC, and Brett Beilema as HC. We will likely keep Taver Johnson as CB coach and we need a TE coach. Is this one of the best staffs overall in the nation?
Also look at the recruiters we are landing all were either recruiting coordinators at one time or considered great recruiters.

This. You guys have put together a very good staff. I think these guys can pull in top 15 classes at Arky and if they can coach them up you guys will be competing for the SEC very soon.

People are sour with Shannon, but anyone who thinks he's a bad position coach is moronic. He didn't have the organizational skills or a coaching following to pull from to be a HC, couldn't recruit top coaches under him IMO. But as a DC, or especially focusing on LB, I'd be ecstatic if I'm an ark fan. I hate what he did to the canes, deeply. But he will do well I believe. JMO.. Recruiting wise he will do good I think being told where and who to focus on. He did wreck some relationships, not all, but he did. We'll see how he does. I still love him. He's always a Cane.
