Arkansas new coach.. Chris Peterson?

Just got a text from an Arkansas commitment and he told that the rumblings are that Boise State's Chris Peterson will likely be the next coach at Arkansas.
Swapped texts with the guys at our 247 Arkansas site and they have said they heard the same from some recruits in attendance today. Patterson and Gundy the two other names people are tossing around.

Not always when it comes to coaching searches. I honestly don't see Peterson taking the Arky job. I think he could have already had a better job if he wanted it.

I could be wrong, but I thought he turned down the Southern Cal job before Kiffin took it. And now we are supposed to believe he wants Arkansas instead? I would be shocked

I could see him heading to Eugene when Chip Kelly takes off at the end of the year. Oregon and a place like Cal would be the only type places I could see him going. JMO

He is a good coach. But, he wouldn't be a good fit at Arky imo.
Saban and Miles would take Petersen's lunch, on the recruiting trail.
Petrino got out recruited as well, but his x's and o's gm was top notch. Plus, he wasn't a nice guy, which added more to his in gm ability.
Petersen should stay at Boise or take the Cal job.

There is a lot more to it than that for Peterson. As I already said he has reportedly turned down some very big jobs before. I just don't see him taking the Arky job.

Won't believe it till its confirmed, very few situations would get Petersen to leave Boise and Arkansas doesn't seem like one of them.
