    The TideSorts article didn't have any direct quotes from Burns, either. Just quoted some anonymous source.

    At least CaneSports had some quotes from Burns. TideSorts also wrote that The Florida Times Union said he was "decommitting."

    Here's exactly what Burns said: "I committed to Alabama, but I’m still looking at them, Miami, of course, and Florida State,” Burns said. “I won’t make a final decision until this fall, sometime during the football season. I want to play football, and I want to run track in college. I’ll go where I think I have the best chance to do both and be successful.”

  • Our coaches cut ties with him and we are no longer in his top 5. If you knew who to listen to on the boards, this was "reported" to happen a month ago. His "Uncle" is going to have to be "taken care of" per the same guy who said this a month ago. We don't need this type of trouble. True or not, he is not worth it. We have way too much to lose.

    We would have heard about this rumor by now, because we have a lot of posters on our board who are connected to South Florida

    To an extent, yes. The guy who said them is a huge homer and talks about the South Florida players like they should all be 5 stars. He has been 100% on everything he has ever said. He is the one who made reference to them, then our guys elsewhere said the same thing. They said he is "trouble". Now I have no idea if all that is true, but at the end of the day it's just not worth it IMO. We are on probation and can;t afford to take a chance on a kid that has an "uncle" with his hand out. We can get another CB, we can't take back some shady dealings and getting busted by the NCAA. Good luck to the kid and I hope everyone is wrong.

    Burns said when he called Bama coaches today to give them the news he was decommitting "They were upset. They were trying to sway me to come back, said what a great opportunity I had there."

    Then why were they upset and wanted him back? Even Alabama misses a few recruits. You don't have to make up false rumors.

    I'm not the one making them you moron. They were on BOL, TI, and even the Rivals MB ONE MONTH AGO. Nobody care about some random 4 star CB. Trust me, we sign the top class every year. We wanted Winston bad. I mean, I don;t know what else to tell you.

    Well, I'm going to just sit back and watch the dust settle on this one. There is way too much smoke out there to know what's really going on. But there was a thread on the RMB a little while ago where the Miami guys and the FSU guys were talking about his handler. Hard to think some random Miami poster heard the same rumor from an insider on Tider Insider. But like I said, I'm just going to sit back and watch how this one plays out.

    I definitely don't believe anything from Rivals.... again I have yet to see anything on this site nor Miami site on this network....

    Until then I will refrain from any sort of judgment or possibility of believing a rumor
