As a college fan. Would the NFL be better for you with 60+ teams

  • I say yes. As a college fan I cannot stand the current NFL model. Every game is the same and most of them are within 7 points- just look at the spreads
    '
The best thing about college football is school, state, region etc.. pride.

The second best thing about college football is the number of games on.

The third best thing about college football is the number of teams and players created a larger gap of the most talanted and average players. For example you see crazy highlight plays out of all the Heisman finalist while the NFL is lacking the "big play" more and more

All NFL teams are getting to be too stacked where every game looks the same. I would say the quality of the top 50 college football teams warrants enough players to make 50 NFL teams

    thoughts?

I'd say expand it to 40ish teams, but that is the max. Just not enough markets to support 50+ teams.

  • Close games and good competition suck! Teams like Packers and Steelers have no pride!

It's good competition, but there are really no players that truly stand out, save for a few elite players. If there were more teams there would be more playmaking stars like Sammy Watkins, Denard Robinson, DeAnthony Thomas, and Dez Bryant, all players who can change a game on any play but will struggle to crack the big plays they make in college in the NFL.

Ha yeah and i wouldn't say teams are loaded

All more teams would do is add players that stink as well

Correct, but it would be harder for the rich to get richer.

There are only a few players in the NFL that can crack open a game on a single play because the talent is so concentrated. Spread out the talent and there are more exciting plays and elite playmakers.

  • Concentrated talent is good. I get no joy of Trent Richardson running 200 yards against Western Kansas Technical School.

    Hot Sauce

  • So your trying to turn the NFL into College Football? Stupid idea

    jwarsenal9

  • No, talent would be spread too thin... there aren't THAT many great players to fill all those rosters. The whole point of the NFL is to watch the best of the best.

EDIT -- edit again, what someone else said!... I misread Maize lol

  • If you want more offense watch the arena league.

Nice try sneaking Robinson in there.

No, I prefer to watch the PAC-12, no defense in that conference.

Only has a shade under 3000 yards rushing for the last two seasons and plays QB. But you're probably right, Matt Barkley would probably beat out Denard in a foot race.

I never said anything about Barkley. Denard folds when he plays a defense with a pulse, but carry on.

Would you consider Ohio State's defense last season to be good?

  • No not at all.

Look what expansion did to the NBA. Does anyone really care to watch the Bobcat’s, Hornet’s, or Raptor’s?
Sure great players would be more dominant, but does anyone really want to see what Aaron Rodger’s would do to the NFL equivalent to the Bobcat’s.

TBH I wouldn’t mind if they got rid of a team or two. I wish they would get rid of some teams in the NBA.

The talent level and parity in the NFL is what makes it great league. No one want’s to see 55-10 games.

  • I do not like the NFL because it has too small of stadiums, too little teams, and too much parity. I like some good dominant teams too!
